Boeing picks Greenville firm to manage expansion projects

Greenville-based Global Performance has been selected by The Boeing Co. to provide project and construction management services for the plane maker’s newly announced aft-body and paint facility expansion projects in North Charleston.

Global Performance will provide construction management and project management services for the facility expansion, as well as other projects at the North Charleston site, according to a news release. It also will provide safety, quality, cost, estimating, scheduling, construction and commissioning expertise.

Boeing is building its new 787 Dreamliner, wide-body passenger plane at the North Charleston site.

Global Performance provided the same services for Boeing's construction of the 787 final assembly facility in North Charleston.

Global Performance is part of the Wood Group Mustang companies. Its parent company Wood Group is an international energy services firm with $6 billion in revenue. It employs more than 41,000 people and has operations in 50 countries.
