Roaring 20 winner: Metalworx Inc.

Despite continued growth, Metalworx Inc. has stayed true to the core beliefs and values on which the company was founded. While the company does make changes to reflect customer needs, the mission and values statements remain the same.

For Metalworx, it’s a rewarding approach. Between 2005 and 2006, company revenues increased by 77%.

Company President Michael L. Sawer said employee retention, commitment to customer service and capital investments have allowed the metal machining and fabrication firm to thrive over the years.

Metalworx attributes its growth in the last year to a focus on customer relationships, capital investment, qualified personnel and employee training as well as to the implementation of some new processes.

Having watched his company’s success, Sawer offers the following advice to other business owners and managers:

  • Listen to your customers and understand their needs.
  • Invest in technology.
  • Invest in personnel training and growth development strategies.
