Dan Fabrizio has been named news director of WCBD-TV, an NBC affiliate. Fabrizio previously worked as an assistant news director at WSYX-TV/WTTE-TV in Columbus, Ohio.

 

Poets Jessica Bundschuh and Marjory Wentworth launched Fluency Creative, a public relations, marketing, and cross-cultural coaching firm.

Southeast Integration Services has hired Buddy Parson, who will serve as area manager for South Carolina. 

 

GEL Engineering has hired Penny Shepard as a senior project manager and Jenny Austin as marketing coordinator. 

 

Will Taylor has joined Coastal Engineering & Testing Co. as an environmental project manager. Taylor is certified in asbestos, mold and lead testing, as well as in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.

 

Stacey Alexander has joined First National Bank as a teller at the Mount Pleasant office. She was previously employed by Carolina First Bank.

 

Chaun W. Pflug has joined Nexsen Pruet’s Charleston office and will work in the commercial real estate practice group. Previously, Pflug worked with a law firm where he counseled local, regional and national residential and commercial developers.

 

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP has promoted Eleni Roumel to counsel. A former associate, Roumel practices commercial litigation, securities, white collar defense and intellectual property.

 

Richardson Patrick Westbrook & Brickman LLC has hired David Hendricks and Katie McElveen as associate attorneys. Hendricks practices securities and antitrust litigation and McElveen practices class action litigation.

 

Bishop Gadsden has welcomed new leaders Kimberly Farfone, Daniel Larrabee, Linda McMahon and Laura Wilson. Farfone has joined as director of development and public relations and has more than 10 years of fundraising and public relations experience. Larrabee has joined as director of environmental services and previously managed physical plant operations for more than 10 years. McMahon has joined as director of nursing and has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of nursing. Additionally, Gail Strickland has joined as community life enrichment coordinator and is a national certified activity professional.

Wilson was promoted to director of marketing and was previously the activities coordinator for apartment/cottage community.
