Southern Tank Transport Inc. has added seven employees to its management team. Jerry Ball has been appointed vice president of operations. He previously retired as the Southeast district manager for Roadway Express. Ed Dockweiler has been appointed the director of central control and operations manager. Dockweiler will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. He previously worked for Schneider National Carriers. A.J. Sellers has been appointed the director of safety. He is to assume responsibility for all safety, risk and compliance management issues. Sellers has 15 years of transportation experience. Bobby Stockton has been appointed the customer services manager. His responsibilities will be marketing, business development and customer relations. Stockton previously worked for U.S. Air and the Piedmont Triad Partnership in Greensboro, N.C. Greg Daniels has been appointed as the terminal manager for the Holly Hill, Charleston and Savannah, Ga., terminals. Daniels previously worked for AMW Trucking and then for Builders Transport/Schneider National as a dispatcher. Ron Vignone has been appointed as the recruiting manger. He was previously the manager of business development and sales for NYK Logistics in Charleston. Gary Cohen has been appointed as the manager for the Charleston terminal. Cohen has 27 years of management experience with Philips Medical Systems.
The Frances R. Willis SPCA of Dorchester County promoted Yvonne Taylor to adoption director and Amanda Gutgsell to intake director, and hired Richard Benward, Mark Eckels and Wallace Jeffords as kennel technicians. Taylor supervises the adoption staff and manages adoptions for the SPCA. Gutgsell manages the intake staff and is responsible for the testing of animals brought to the shelter. Both Taylor and Gutgsell have worked for the SPCA for more than four years.
The South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations hired Mason B. Hardy as its new executive director. Hardy previously served as the executive director of the Tuomey Foundation in Sumter.
Roxanne Medina-Solomon has joined Trident United Way as senior vice president for community building. Medina-Solomon previously served as the director of community investment strategies for the United Way of Southeastern Michigan. She will oversee the strategic direction of Trident United Ways community impact areas, which includes community response services, increasing self sufficiency, promoting health and wellness and supporting older people.
MAU Inc. announced the promotion of Carl Henson to the position of director of business development. Hensons new role will include the supervision, planning and directing of MAUs corporate sales and business development. He has more than nine years of experience in human resources, staffing, recruiting and outsourcing.
Dunhill Staffing Systems of Charleston hired Holly Frielinghaus as a recruiting production assistant. Frielinghaus previously served in several human resource roles in the health care industry.
The Charles Foster Co. hired Bill McBroom, Trudy Murphy and Ron Theiling. McBroom is an IT recruiter. He previously worked at Blackbaud as the Southeast territory manager for the data enrichment services division. Murphy joins as a finance and accounting recruiter. She brings more than 20 years of sales experience to the position. Theiling joins as a health care recruiter. He brings several years of pharmaceutical sales experience to the position.
Virginia Pitts was selected SPAWAR System Center Charleston budget officer to execute the fiscal year 2006 budget. Since joining SPAWAR in 1998, Pitts has worked in the systems analysis and procedures branch, in the budget and statistics division and as a branch head in the budget preparation and execution branch.

Santee Cooper promoted Jeff Armfield to treasurer and vice president of business services. He will direct all treasury functions, manage the utilitys debt portfolio, including bond sales and refunding issues, handle the receipt of revenue and oversee security investments. He will also continue to supervise his current areas, which include materials management, general support services and risk management.
Jody Petit has joined Berenyi Inc.s comprehensive design team as an engineering-in-training. Petit is working toward obtaining her professional engineering license and recently graduated from Clemson University with a bachelors degree in civil engineering.
G. Legare Porcher Jr., Jim McGuire, Rhett Morgan and Ashley McCormick have joined SGM Architects Inc. Porcher is a project manager with 25 years of architecture experience. McGuire is a senior project manager with 29 years of experience managing the design and construction of major governmental facilities. Morgan is an intern architect who earned his bachelors degree in architecture from Clemson University. McCormick is also an intern architect who earned both her bachelors and masters degrees in architecture from Clemson University.
James Warmoth and Bradley Hubbard have joined ADC Engineering Inc.s structures department. Warmoth was previously with Schneider & Associates and worked on the Ravenel bridge project with Tidewater Skanska. Hubbard was previously employed by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst PC of Augusta, Ga.
Michael Cain has joined the land development group at Hussey, Gay, Bell and DeYoung Inc. as a civil engineer/project manager. Cain previously worked at the city of Charleston where he was responsible for the engineering review of new commercial and residential developments. He has 14 years of engineering experience in development, government services and engineering consulting.
Mulkey Engineers & Consultants promoted Charles V. Bruton to vice president of environmental services and J. David Lee II to vice president and North Carolina survey services manager. Bruton has more than 30 years of experience in wetland mitigation planning and permit negotiation, government coordination, contractual agreement, transportation planning, environmental streamlining and stewardship and pollution research. Lee has more than 15 years of experience in surveying, design, contract administration and construction engineering.

Blatchford works on mechanical and plumbing drafting and design, and has more than five years of experience. Mellichamp is responsible for civil drafting and design. Laura James joined the company as an accounts receivable manager. James, with more than 20 years of experience, will oversee the firms collection activities.
General Engineering & Environmental LLC announced the addition of Megan Williams as a licensed professional engineer specializing in military and public works, and construction and design oversight. She was previously a supervisory engineer with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Charleston.
Rawle Murdy added West Herford as director of client services. He will be responsible for all aspects of client strategy. Herford was previously part of the core management team with Arnold Worldwide in St. Louis. He also served as the global account director for Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey.

C. Brent Sitton has been promoted to vice president of construction of the Charleston division of Beazer Homes. Sittons career with Beazer includes work as a finish technician and as vice president of construction for the Columbia operations. Stella French also joined the staff as marketing coordinator. She previously worked as a cosmetic brand manager. Beazer also announced six new hires. Chris Ingram is a senior staff accountant. He previously worked for six years with Giant Cement Holdings Inc. as an accounting manager in the fuels division. Jason Bowick is a land development professional. He previously worked for 12 years in the engineering field. Janelle Barr is a customer care coordinator. She has past experience in the medical industry in administration and clinical research. Wayne Mays is a customer care representatives. He previously worked as a customer care representative for Pacific Mountain Partners in Sacramento, Calif. Mel Conley is a builder. He has more than 13 years of experience in high volume residential construction. Vanessa Ferrara is a purchasing assistant. She earned a bachelors degree in international studies from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.

Nahass has three years of mortgage experience and performed law enforcement duties in the U.S. Air Force. Finley has experience in the food and beverage industry. Shaw previously worked as an on-site agent for a Greenville, S.C., builder and with Dunes Properties in Mount Pleasant.
Janet Bolds joined the Mount Pleasant office of AgentOwned Realty. Bolds has a masters degree in business from Webster University and a bachelors degree in management of human resources from Southern Wesleyan University.
The Beach Co. added Peter George to its Summers Bend project. George will serve as the on-site owner services coordinator at Summers Bend to facilitate the transition between the purchaser and owner. He previously spent more than 12 years in management and customer service in the Charleston hospitality field and with the Atlanta Braves. The company also announced Marva Phillips promotion to senior payroll administrator. Philips will assume responsibility for coordinating the corporate payroll functions for more than 300 employees.
