Tom Mitchell and Maria L. Zone have joined Coldwell Banker Coastal Properties. Mitchell previously worked as a branch manager for Sears in Virginia, a marketing director for NOVA Exteriors in Virginia, a business development manager for Regency Commercial Construction, a marketing and sales director at Computer Engineering Associates, and has 19 years of experience as a registered technologist. Zone previously spent 14 years as the owner/operator of Advantage Advertising and Travel Inc. and published the Guest Guide Magazine for the town of Mount Pleasant.

Caldwell Commercial Real Estate announced several new hires. Robert Rowan is a property manager. He has more than 19 years of commercial real estate experience. Bill Stovall is a real estate agent. He has more than 30 years of experience managing his family’s business and investments. Frieda Wynn is an executive administrator. She has more than 25 years of experience in human resources, financial and administrative roles.

William Means Real Estate LLC announced two new associates, Debbie Fisher and Michelle McQuillan. Fisher has more than 20 years of sales experience, 15 in the real estate industry. McQuillan spent nine years as a journalist in Asia. She has also owned a high-end children’s clothing store in Washington, D.C.

Brad Weaver of Prudential Carolina Real Estate has joined forces with Matumedia and Realtytimes to launch his new Web site, www.DreamHomeWeaver.com.

Anchor Commercial CORFAC International announced the addition of Tristin Chiafullo to the property management team.

Kim Hilton has joined Beach Residential, the residential sales division of The Beach Co., as a sales agent in the Seaside Farms office in Mount Pleasant. Hilton previously worked as a mortgage banker specializing in residential purchase, construction, renovation and refinance lending for 15 years.

Renee Finley and Jane Miller have joined the Mount Pleasant office of AgentOwned Realty. Finley earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia where she studied interior design. Miller has 32 years of marketing research and management experience, and was most recently employed as director of the council for marketing and opinion research.

Janice Pastore was promoted from sales manager to broker-in-charge for the Century 21 Properties Plus’ Summerville office. She serves on the board of directors for the MLS at the Charleston Trident Board of Realtors. Cathy May joined the company as a real estate agent in the Summerville office. May was previously a cosmetologist in Summerville and an administrator for Advent Product Development in Pawley’s Island. Janis St. Onge joined the Mount Pleasant office. St. Onge previously owned and operated The Ship It Shop, a packaging and shipping store in Summerville.

Prudential Carolina Real Estate announced several new additions. Linda Hunt joined the Trolley Road office, Summerville. She previously spent two years as a marketing representative for Solutia Inc. in Indiana. Linda Ett and Annie Wohlfeil joined the Coleman Boulevard office, Mount Pleasant. Susie Schumm, Nick Collins and Jacqueline Davidson joined the Mount Pleasant North office. Amy Murrell, Alison Page, Danny Buncum and Laura Sargent joined the Long Point Road office, Mount Pleasant. Angela Jones, Bobby W. Charpia and Sloan Woods joined the Main Street office, Summerville. Sandy Wolfe and D.J. Shymansky joined the Ashley River Road office. Weichert, Realtors—Dean-Kelby announced the opening of a third office at 3044 Highway 17 North, Mount Pleasant. Bryan Crabtree, owner, is the broker of record, and Mark Vallerio will direct recruitment for the office.

New South Mortgage promoted Randy Spear, Keli McClarty and Cam Icenhour to assistant manager positions at its Summerville, Charleston and Mount Pleasant offices, respectively. Spear and McClarty previously served as mortgage consultants for the company. Icenhour was previously a loan officer at the Mount Pleasant office. The company also announced the hiring of Anna Wren Allen as a mortgage consultant in the Mount Pleasant office. Allen brings three years of marketing and sales experience to her new position.

Pratt-Thomas&Gumb, CPAs hired Katherine Walters to its litigation support department and Jordan Cain to its small business department. Walters was previously employed as a controller with Old Guard Group Inc. in Lancaster, Pa., and as an audit senior associate with Coopers & Lybrand LLP in Harrisburg, Pa. She will concentrate on litigation support specializing in accounting matters. Cain was previously employed as a staff accountant with Black Box Universal Solutions of Charleston.

Jarrard, Nowell & Russell LLC has hired Emmet Lucas as an accounting intern. Lucas is responsible for processing tax reporting forms and assisting with individual tax returns. He previously interned with Orient Overseas Container Line.

Wachovia Corp. promoted Susie Brockington to vice president, Melinda Gipe to officer and David McCallum to vice president. Brockington, who has been with Wachovia for two years, is an investment strategist with Wachovia Wealth Management in Charleston. Gipe, who has been with Wachovia Wealth Management for 10 years, is a senior client management associate in Charleston. McCallum, who has been with the company for three years, is a relationship manager with Wachovia Wealth Management in Charleston.

Elliott Davis LLC announced the addition of Bob Beckwith as a shareholder. With more than 20 years of experience with Deloitte Touche, Beckwith has a broad range of public accounting experience, providing tax consulting services to his clients.

Just Fresh Bakery Café & Market announced the promotion of Jamie Minster, former general manager of the restaurant’s Aquarium Wharf location, to catering sales director for all four tri-county Just Fresh locations. Minster previously created and ran the Charleston-based dining guide publication, Silver Spoon.

Crew Carolina LLC has named Ann Stafford as executive pastry chef of The Boathouse on East Bay, The Boathouse at Breach Inlet, The Boathouse on Lake Julian, Carolina’s Restaurant and Carolina Catering. Her responsibilities include creating unique pastry items for all Crew Carolina restaurants, as well as overseeing all pastry preparations. Stafford previously served as executive pastry chef at Kiawah Island Resort.

Andy Rankin, a 12-year employee with the Charleston Area Convention and Visitor Bureau, has been named director of investor relations. He is responsible for all private sector fundraising, publication advertising sales and various marketing initiatives. Rankin also serves as liaison between the CACVB’s 42 member staff and travel council investors.

McCrady’s Restaurant has appointed Sean Brock as its new executive chef. Brock will be responsible for McCrady’s main dining room, the Lounge, and the famous Long Room private dining space. He previously worked as the executive chef at the Hermitage Hotel and its fine dining restaurant, The Capitol Grille.

Chester Media Group has formed Lonestar PR & Advertising and relocated its office from Mount Pleasant to 1876 Wallenberg Blvd., West Ashley. The expanded office features in-house graphic design team Fireball Media.

Welcomemat Services Inc. announced Jane Hargarten as its Charleston-area marketing account manager. Hargarten previously worked with the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau for three years as a group sales manager.

Obviouslee Marketing recently hired Richard Guerzon as director of operations. Guerzon will be handling day-to-day operations and the Web site division of the company. He will oversee Web site design, development and Internet marketing.

Megan Mahoney is the new owner of LowCountry Kidsitters, a babysitting referral service in the Charleston area. Mahoney currently attends graduate school at The Citadel where she is working toward a master’s degree in clinical counseling.

Jon and Wendy Stroud have opened a franchise of the National Home Buyers Assistance. The business focuses on the process by which families with credit or down payment challenges can buy a home through innovative leasing options.

Coastal Classics has opened at 511 King St. Coastal Classics will serve as the largest retailer in the Lowcountry of Seabrook Classics, a South Carolina-manufactured furniture line.

Wayne Seabury announced the launch of Seabury HRM Consulting LLC, a consulting company specializing in succession and strategic human resource planning, change management and employee relations. Seabury has experience in human resources, planning, budgeting and communications.

Benefitfocus.com Inc. recently announced several new hires. Summer Star Delgado has joined as a business analyst for the client services division. She was previously a sales manager for Charleston Harbor Tours. Kelly Estock has joined as a business analyst in the client services-Midwest national accounts division. She was formerly employed by Edward Jones Investments as branch office administrator in Mount Pleasant. Lori Franklin has joined as a member services representative in the member services division. She was formerly employed as assistant manager for Curves in Granite, N.C. Gerard J. LePore has joined the executive team at Benefitfocus.com. He was formerly president of LePore Associates in Alpharetta, Ga. Elias H. Martin has joined as a business analyst in the client services division. He has a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from East Tennessee State University. Rightley Lee McConnell has joined as a junior software engineer in the eExchange division. He has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering technology from DeVry University in Fort Washington, Pa. Linda Barbe Selleck has joined as a data analyst in the eLinks division. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration in management information systems from East Carolina University. Don Taylor has joined as director of engineering product management in the product management division. He was formerly employed by Boxcar Central. Paul Weil has joined as a software engineer in the eExchange division. He was formerly LOGMOD lead engineer for the U.S. Air Force at Maxwell AFB in Gunter Annex, Ala. Anna Fleming Westerlund has joined as a business analyst in the client services division. She was formerly employed by Carolina First Bank in Charleston and Greenville.

Automated Trading Desk LLC announced the appointment of Jack Vensel as executive vice president of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for developing and managing sell-side sales and consolidated marketing efforts for ATD’s operations. Vensel was previously an executive vice president at Island ECN.

F. Joseph Fisher has been promoted to vice president of Cullum Constructors Inc. Fisher has been with Cullum since 1986 and is a licensed professional engineer. His expertise is in the design of plumbing and air conditioning systems, and management of construction.

L. Joey Runey III has joined The Cornerstone Co. of Charleston LLC. Runey has prior experience in project and business management, and will assist with project supervision.

Rogers & Brown Custom Brokers Inc. recently promoted Michael B. Fowler to president of the company. Fowler was hired by Rogers & Brown as an accounting manager in 1979. He has held the titles of vice president of finance and administration, and vice president of finance and operations with Rogers & Brown.

Sharon Wagoner assumed the duties of chief of operations in the comptroller department at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston. Wagoner is responsible for all aspects of the department’s strategic plan and related initiatives, providing direction and leadership to corporate financial operations, and assisting in the development and issuance of financial policies and guidelines.
