Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP has elected two new partners to the Charleston office: Jennifer Williams Davis and Douglas L. Lineberry. Davis practices in federal and state taxation, economic development and estate planning. Lineberry practices in the areas of intellectual property, employment and labor law, and ERISA benefits and litigation. John C.B. Smith has also joined the firm. Smith currently serves as the chairman for the S.C. Education Lottery Commission and is a director of Carolina First Bank and a lead independent director of The South Financial Group.

Anderson & Segui LLC announced that Lisa A. Reynolds has become a member of the firm. The firm will now be known as Anderson Segui Reynolds LLC. The firm also announced the association of Shanna M. Milcetich, Eric M. Johnsen and Katherine C. Miars. Milcetich, a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law, has been employed by the firm since November 2003. Johnsen was previously employed with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Columbia and has been employed with this firm since November 2004. Miars has been with the firm since November 2005.

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart PC recently moved its operation into larger office space at 211 King St. to accommodate growth.

Anderson, Blankin, Wells and Associates LLC announced the addition of two new partners: Brad Milner and Andrew Exum. Both have extensive real estate backgrounds, specializing in new developments, on-site sales and condo conversions in the Charleston area.

Patricia Mattix-David has opened a private practice as a legal nurse consultant. Along with a nursing degree, Mattix-David holds a certification by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers and a certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant. She assists attorneys in multiple areas, including medical malpractice, wrongful death and workers’ compensation.

Robin McCoy has opened Widerule Creative, a graphic design firm. Widerule Creative offers Web design and brand development, along with a full-range of design services for small to mid-sized companies.

Richard A. Hricik announced the opening of The Law Offices of Richard A. Hricik PA and his new Web site, www.CharlestonSCLawyer.com. Hricik practices in the areas of personal injury, litigation and contract/business disputes.

Keith E. Kelly has opened Redstone Technologies LLC. Redstone Technologies will provide telephone hardware, service, cabling and data networking for all types and sizes of businesses.

Photographer John Chilton has launched www.charlestonbridgephotos.com, a Web site featuring a selection of photographic prints of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and the old Cooper River bridges for purchase. The site is e-commerce enabled and framed versions are available upon request.

O. Tresslar Hydinger annouced the opening of her firm, O. Tresslar Hydinger LLC. The firm focuses primarily on residential real estate closings, business formation and estate planning.

Trident Medical Center has named Patricia Johnson its chief operating officer and will be responsible for all operations at the center. Johnson has more than 28 years of experience in the health care field. She has been with the Trident Health System since 1995 and has served as the chief nursing executive since 2000.

Hospital Corporation of America has promoted Jim Rardin to vice president of its newly formed HCA Carolina market. Rardin has more than 20 years of experience in the health care field. For the past five years, Rardin has served as the chief operating officer for Trident Health System.

Lowcountry Medical Associates has hired Phillip A. McKenzie as its director of imaging services to lead both current operations and an expansion. McKenzie previously served as the clinical manager for LMA’s Imaging Center on Wesley Drive in West Ashley and is nationally certified as a nuclear medicine technologist.

Chick Linski has joined Pearlstine Distributors Inc. as the peddle sales manager. He previously worked as the district sales manager for InBev USA covering South Carolina and Georgia and as a district sales manager in Indiana for Labatt USA.

Judy Moore has been named director of programs for LifeManagement Center. Moore has spent many years in the educational field, most recently as a school psychologist with the Charleston County School District. She has also served as a school psychologist for Berkeley County schools and as an instructor of psychology at Trident Technical College.

Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area Inc. announced the hiring of four student support specialists. Caroline Coffey earned her undergraduate psychology degree from Bates College and a M.S.W. with a specialization in health and medical care at Boston College’s Graduate School of Social Work. She works at Wadmalaw Island’s Frierson Elementary School. Leah Hambright graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a degree in social work and a minor in Spanish. She works at North Charleston Elementary. Maudra Rogers is based at Murray LaSaine Elementary School on James Island, and she earned her undergraduate degree in physical education and health promotion from the College of Charleston. Liz Sullivan recently completed her master’s degree in counseling at The Citadel and works at James Island Middle School.

Vivian Barajas has joined the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce as director of membership development. She will be responsible for membership recruitment and retention and carrying out initiatives as defined in the chamber’s strategic plan. Barajas has experience in the market research field and has volunteered in various organizations including Junior Achievement, American Marketing Association Case Team and Sigma Alpha Lambda.

Jennifer Simpson has joined the Charleston Regional Development Alliance as marketing projects manager. Simpson will manage the organization’s Web site, e-marketing programs and sales support materials, as well as plan special events for clients. She will also work with the project management team in preparing marketing materials and planning itineraries for client visits. Simpson most recently held marketing communications positions with Blackbaud Inc. and The Marketing Consortium.

Bill Olmstead has joined East Cooper Meals on Wheels as its executive director. He will be responsible for fundraisers, overseeing daily operations, including more than 200 food deliveries, and planning for the growth and aging of the communities being served. Omstead is also an adjunct professor at ECPI Technical College where he teaches evening business management, accounting and health care-related classes.

KMK Technologies has promoted Henry Isgett to senior network engineer. He is responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of business technology systems, leads a technical staff of engineers and technicians, and is responsible for in-house training and all continuing education. Isgett has eight years of experience in computer networking and technical support. He was previously employed by ACS Technologies Inc.

Jackie Hutchens has been named the marketing representative for South Carolina for PDS Cortex. Hutchens will call on medical clinics in the state to introduce PDS Cortex and Practice Partner, an electronic health records program. Hutchens has worked for Peterson Clinical Laboratory, Farmers Insurance and A.C. Chiropractic and Group USA.

Rick Hale has joined Rapid Repairs to manage its new painting division, Rapid Repairs Painting. Hale has been the owner and operator of Charleston Colors since 1987.

Emory J. Infinger & Associates Construction Co. Inc. has announced the expansion of the team. Guerry Johnson is a quality control representative overseeing the construction of Dubose Elementary School. He has more than 30 years of construction management experience. Robert O’Neal is a quality control representative overseeing the quality of a project on the Air Force base. Adam Wade is a project manager. He previously worked as a building engineer and contract administrator. Sarah McCoy, who has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Clemson University, is an office assistant who will be in charge of marketing campaigns.

The American College of the Building Arts announced the appointment of Deborah Bowman as director of admissions. Bowman has served as director of admissions for higher education institutions such as Rockhurst University and Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, as well as assistant director of admissions at Pfeiffer University.

Michael T. Kutch Jr. has been selected as the department head of the intelligence and information warfare department at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston. Kutch will head a unit of more than 570 engineers, technicians, experts and support personnel who provide information and intelligence systems to war fighters. Kutch currently directs the Carnegie Mellon Capability Maturity Model for Integration efforts at SPAWAR.

Custom Development Solutions announced the hiring of Alex Orr as senior campaign director. Orr was previously the manager of southeastern activities related to “Blackbaud Analytics” at Blackbaud Inc. and has 20 years of experience serving the nonprofit sector. He is currently leading the capital campaign for the Lowcountry Food Bank.

David W. DeLoach, Alan D. Lail, Lee D. Harant, Susan P. Jones and David Knowlton have joined CRG Engineering. DeLoach is a senior electrical engineer/project manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in electrical engineering, with more than 15 years in the design of industrial controls and commercial, industrial and residential building power. Lail is a senior mechanical engineer/project manager. He has more than 24 years of experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing system design. Harant joins the firm as a project manager. He has 25 years of experience in mechanical design, including 10 years of experience in plumbing design. Jones is an engineering associate. She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University. Knowlton is also an engineering associate. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tulane University.

Kevin Ammons has joined Goff D’Antonio Associates as an intern architect. He received his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Tennessee.

ARCADIS announced the appointment of Samuel W. Hayes to the position of director of business development for the Charleston area. Hayes will be responsible for developing clients in the local market. Hayes was previously the president and treasurer of Trico Engineering Consultants. He has also served as vice president and chief operating officer for the Southeast region for Stantec, as well as president and chief operating officer for DSAtlantic Corp. in Raleigh, N.C.

Miller’s of Charleston announced the hiring of Dave Eckert to the Charleston area sales team. Eckert has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and project management experience. He will represent the firm across the region.

The Charleston RiverDogs announced that Bill Mosiello, who led the RiverDogs to the South Atlantic League playoffs last year, will return as the RiverDogs’ field manager for the 2006 season. In addition to Mosiello, Torre Tyson will return as the hitting coach, and Scott Aldred will be the pitching coach. Tim Lentych also returns as team trainer.

McAlister-Smith welcomes Jim Dobbins to its downtown Charleston location as its newest funeral director. Dobbins has been in the funeral service industry for more than 10 years. His current duties include serving the funeral, cremation, grief and pre-planning needs of families, community relations and embalming.

Stephen Duvall Catering & Events appointed Emma Lesesne as its event coordinator. Lesesne will be responsible for managing sales, client accounts, event planning and logistics, and on-site coordination of the company’s catered events for clients at various venues. Lesesne previously supported special event managers at Charleston Place Hotel and Charleston Place Events and was most recently group sales manager of Middleton Place.

Prudential Carolina Real Estate announced the following new hires: Lou Minus, Ruthie Castro and Linda Hunt in the Trolley Road office, Summerville; Stephanie Rushton and Paige Pollock in the Coleman Boulevard office, Mount Pleasant; Robbie Hollings Jr. in the Broad Street office, Charleston; Taylor Hamden in the Folly Road office, James Island; Jim Hock in the Main Street office, Summerville; and Mary Briggs in the Metro North office, Goose Creek.

Beazer Homes announced the hiring of four new staff members. Britni Edwards, who previously interned with Beazer, is a community builder. Ryan Workman has a bachelor’s degree in health science. Jaclyn Smith is a new home counselor who previously worked for Genesis Designer Homes in Savannah. Monique Lynch joins the sales team and was previously with Richmond American Homes as a community manager is Lovland, Colo.

Justin Czerski has joined the property management team at Dunes Properties of Charleston Inc. as a reservationist. Czerski has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of South Carolina.

EXiT Realty Charleston Group has added four new real estate agents to the company’s Mount Pleasant office, Jeffrey Filosa, Robert Ankersen, Mark E. Jones and Darlene Venable. Filosa, who is also a mortgage broker for Unlimited Mortgage, previously operated the Portside Café downtown for 12 years with his wife, Judy. Ankersen, who will specialize in buying and renovating properties, was previously a sales manager at both Pallet Makers Inc. and Edwards Wood Products. Jones, who will specialize in residential and investment properties, is currently a business manager at MUSC. He previously sold office products and insurance for 17 years. Venable, who will work out of the Mount Pleasant office, was most recently a real estate agent with EXiT Sandlapper Realty in Columbia.

Jill Ackerman has joined Community FirstBank as a mortgage loan originator. Ackerman has been a mortgage originator for eight years and was previously with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

New South Mortgage has added Avril Franks as a mortgage consultant in the company’s Mount Pleasant office. Franks has prior experience in originating and processing loans and has also worked as a legal assistant with Barnwell, Whaley, Patterson & Helms LLC.
