CHAMBER'S INNOVATION HEAD PUTS ON CHEF'S HAT

Pennie Bingham, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s vice president for innovation, took a day off from being a regional business leader to take the national stage—as a cook. Bingham was the only competitor from South Carolina to be named one of the 15 finalists in the 2006 Southern Living Cook-off, held in October at Trident Technical College’s Culinary Institute of Charleston. Bingham prepared “Chunky Tomato ‘n’ Grilled Corn Bisque.”

LS3P ROCKS LOUDEST AT UNITED WAY BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Vanishing Point, a band made up of architects from LS3P Associates Ldt., won the Trident United Way’s Battle of the Bands. The event pitted bands of professionals against each other and helped raise awareness of the work being done by Trident United Way.
