GOING BEHIND BARS FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Bryan Crabtree, president and CEO of Weichert, RealtorsDean-Kelby, is hauled off in handcuffs to serve time for the good of the Charleston chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The companys sales associates came to his rescue, raising $3,000 in bail money, to be donated to the MDA.
MORE THAN 300 ATTEND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS KICKOFF
More than 300 people braved the weather to attend the kickoff event for Charleston Young Professionals at the Gibbes Museum in September. The group is open to career-minded professionals, ages 22 to 39, who live or work in the Charleston area. The goal of the organization is to increase the impact young professionals have in civic and business endeavors in Charleston.
MEDICAL ASSOCIATES TOURNAMENT RAISES $10,000 FOR CHARITIES
The inaugural Lowcountry Medical Associates Health Links Golf Tournament raised more than $10,000 for the Roper St. Francis Foundation and Coastal Community Foundation. CAROLINA PARK DONATES SPRINTER VAN TO ECCO
Carolina Park, a master-planned community in Mount Pleasant, presented East Cooper Community Outreach with a Dodge Sprinter van valued at more than $35,000. It was the largest donation ECCO has received since the organizations founding in 1989. The donation is the second made by Carolina Park this year and is part of a five-year commitment to area community service organizations serving disadvantaged and minority individuals.
