WCSC-TV added Scott Williams to the Live 5 Weather Team. Prior to joining WCSC-TV, Williams served as the morning meteorologist for CBS-19 KYTX-TV in Tyler, Texas.
Mettler Public Relations hired Laura Thompson as public relations coordinator. Thompson has a background in public relations, journalism and Web and graphic design. She will assist with a variety of client projects while expanding Web public relations for the company.

Peggy Reese joined the Mount Pleasant office of AgentOwned Realty. Reese was a top real estate agent for Long and Foster Realty in Northern Virginia. Reese also served as the Charleston School District’s Library Media Coordinator.
Barbara Newton joined AgentOwned Realty in West Ashley. Previously, she was with Matrix Properties Inc. for several years.
The Beach Co. announced the addition of Stephen Spangler to its development division. Spangler will serve as junior developer with an emphasis on residential projects.
Prudential Carolina Real Estate has added DeAnn Carroll to its downtown office. Carroll has more than 20 years of high-end residential real estate marketing, with knowledge of new buyer markets on both a national and international level.
Jennifer Buckhalt joined CC&T Real Estate Services as an associate broker. Buckhalt recently relocated to the Charleston area from Washington, D.C., where she worked for Discovery Channel.

Veteran mortgage lender Marie DuPree joined Harbor National Bank as vice president and mortgage lender. DuPree has more than three decades of banking experience in the Lowcountry with a primary focus on mortgage lending.
Gamble Givens & Moody LLC hired Leslie Day as executive assistant. Day has more than 20 years experience as an accounting firm executive assistant.
Robin Broyles joined Community FirstBank as vice president of marketing. Broyles previously worked at S.C. Federal Credit Union for eight years, first serving as communications specialist, then as product manager.
New South Mortgage hired Keith Stansell as the branch manager of its Summerville office. As branch manager, Stansell focuses on relationships with referral sources and maintaining quality customer service.
Wachovia promoted Elizabeth C. Wooten and hired Matthew K. Everson. Wooten is an assistant vice president and a community banking relationship manager. Everson is vice president and a community banking relationship manager. Previously, Everson was a senior business valuation consultant at Pratt-Thomas, Gumb & Co.
McKnight Frampton CPA LLC hired Emilee Wright as a senior accountant and Brandy Baxley as a staff accountant. Clover is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine. Tarp is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Kristina Young joined Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP as an associate in its Charleston office. Young’s area of litigation focuses on malpractice, employment and insurance defense. She formerly worked with the Honorable Diane S. Goodstein of the 1st Judicial Circuit of South Carolina.
