Mettler Public Relations hired Laura Thompson as public relations coordinator. Thompson has a background in public relations, journalism and Web and graphic design. She will assist with a variety of client projects while expanding Web public relations for the company.

Veteran mortgage lender Marie DuPree joined Harbor National Bank as vice president and mortgage lender. DuPree has more than three decades of banking experience in the Lowcountry with a primary focus on mortgage lending.
Gamble Givens & Moody LLC hired Leslie Day as executive assistant. Day has more than 20 years experience as an accounting firm executive assistant.
Robin Broyles joined Community FirstBank as vice president of marketing. Broyles previously worked at S.C. Federal Credit Union for eight years, first serving as communications specialist, then as product manager.
New South Mortgage hired Keith Stansell as the branch manager of its Summerville office. As branch manager, Stansell focuses on relationships with referral sources and maintaining quality customer service.
