Cmdr. Patty Gill has assumed the duties of executive officer of military personnel and deputy chief engineer at SPAWAR, Systems Center, Charleston. As executive officer, Gill will help to handle military affairs, and as deputy chief engineer, she will provide leadership and technical expertise to communications systems and major engineering efforts.

Shannon Darby has been promoted to associate designer at Margaret Donaldson Interiors. She joined MDI in 1999 and has seven years of experience in interior design.

Ray Lambright and SooOk Urso have joined Pearlstine Distributor Inc. Lambright is an area manager from Queens, N.Y. He previously served as an Anheuser Busch sales and service representative. Urso is an accountant in the administrative department. She previously worked for Boeing in Everett, Wash., in the product design department.

Jack Little has been appointed as the executive director of East Cooper Community Outreach. Little has served in similar capacities for more than 16 years with Southern Baptists in Charleston and Gainesville, Ga. His work at the Charleston Baptist Association has received local, state and national awards.

True Form Pilates, a Pilates studio owned and operated by Jennifer Tokarev, opened within East Shore Athletic Club at Seaside Farms. Club membership is not required for participation. True Form Pilates offers classical Pilates instruction within small group mat classes and private and duet apparatus sessions by appointment.

Kimberly Campolattaro has opened Dream Dinners, a business centered on easy meal preparation. Dream Dinners’ customers preview a monthly menu online at www.dreamdinners.com and select 12 dinners from a menu. Then they register to attend a meal assembly session at a retail location where they rotate among refrigerated recipe stations to prepare the meals. Customers take the uncooked dinners home and place them in the freezer.

First National Bank of the South has hired Kara Hill as a teller in the Mount Pleasant office. Hill was previously employed as a teller with Macon Bank in Hendersonville, N.C. Charlie Gamble has joined the bank as a customer service representative. He has five years of banking experience and was previously employed with Bank of America.

William T. Maher assumed the duties of senior vice president of operations at Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union in Charleston. Maher previously served as the executive vice president of Jax Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, Fla. Steve Wichmann has assumed the duties of senior vice president of lending at Heritage Trust. Wichmann has 25 years of loan experience. He served as the vice president of loan administration at Palmetto Citizen Federal Credit Union in Columbia for 12 years before joining Heritage Trust.

Darren Dean was hired as a financial services representative for Carolina Capital Management on Daniel Island. Dean has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston.

New South Mortgage moved its Mount Pleasant office from Chuck Dawley Boulevard to the eWall Street Business Park. The new office, which doubles the company’s space at 3,000 square feet, includes an in-house attorney to offer clients on-site closings.

Milon Smith joined Tidelands Bank as its chief credit officer. He was previously employed by People’s Bank in Aiken and Bank of America. Smith was previously employed by SouthTrust Bank for 16 years. Cathy Burns has been promoted to assistant vice president at Tidelands Bank.

Greg Schoonover has been promoted to administrative manager with the expanded Mount Pleasant branch of New South Mortgage. Schoonover has been employed with New South since May 2003 acting as a mortgage consultant and an assistant branch manager. He was previously employed as a financial planner with Financial Management Group in Mount Pleasant.

Joe Bonacci has been promoted to senior vice president of Carolina Services Corp. His responsibilities continue to include human resources, and he will be responsible for coordinating the workflow in the service corporation department to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the development of new products and services. Bonacci previously worked with F.N.B. Financial Corp. as vice president and manager of human resources.

John Pellenz has joined Ralph Whitehead Associates as a utility engineer in the firm’s Charleston office. He works primarily on utility design/management projects and is responsible for various private, municipal, state and federal government projects. Pellenz has 10 years of experience, including drainage design, water and sewer systems design, project management, hydraulic design and feasibility studies.

Kyle M. Hoyt has joined the Berenyi Inc. comprehensive design team. He previously worked with Walter Phillips Inc., a civil engineering design firm in Falls Church, Va., and designed roads, storm water systems and land develop plans for residential construction developments and commercial sites.

PSI announced the addition of Robert Knowles as vice president overseeing PSI’s North Carolina and South Carolina operations.

Todd DeShields Smith has been named executive director of the Gibbes Museum of Art. Smith has served as the executive director of the Knoxville Museum of Art since 2002. His experience also includes The Plains Art Museum, in Fargo, N.D., where he was president and CEO; The Mint Museum of Art, in Charlotte, N.C., where he was curator of American art; and the Dayton Art Institute, in Dayton, Ohio, where he was curator of American and decorative art.

Jonathan L. Yates has joined Nexsen Pruet LLC as a member in the firm’s Charleston office where he will focus his practice on telecommunications and land-use law. Yates’ background in the telecommunications industry includes matters related to placing wireless networks in multiple states. In his land-use practice, he has assisted in the permitting of large, multi-use commercial developments and has appeared extensively before county planning commissions and councils in North Carolina, South Carolina and coastal Georgia.

Moore & Van Allen elected H. Manning Unger as a new partner in the Charleston office. Unger practices in the areas of commercial real estate, business, mergers and acquisitions, securities, financial services and economic incentives.

Nancy Tracy has joined Buist, Byars, Pearce & Taylor LLC as an attorney at law. She will handle residential real estate transactions and closings out of the firm’s Kiawah/Seabrook office. Tracy previously worked for the North Charleston office of Davidson, Bennett & Wigger as an associate.

The Charleston RiverDogs announced that Noel Blaha will serve as the assistant director of media relations and host of the pre-game and post-game radio shows.
