GUARDSMEN STUDY HURRICANE PREP

More than 500 soldiers and airmen of the South Carolina National Guard began the 2006 hurricane season in North Charleston, participating in a two-week emergency communications demonstration called the Palmetto-Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration. JUST FRESH CHEF WINS GRILLING COOKOFF

Victor Colbert, restaurant supervisor at Just Fresh’s Belle Hall Shopping Center location, recently won the “Battle of PAMazing Grillers,” a cooking contest sponsored by PAM cooking spray and held at Boone Hall Plantation. Colbert took top honors for his chicken quesadillas and chicken kabobs. He will attend a national grilling contest in New York this month with a chance to take home a trophy, a new grill and $10,000.
