YOUNG AT HEART VOLUNTEER WITH DORCHESTER HABITAT
The Faithful Few, a group of volunteers ranging in age from 61 to 81, were recently recognized for their dedication to Dorchester Habitat for Humanity. The group is vital to the organization for the expertise it brings to the construction site and its devotion to Habitats cause. MOUNT HOLLY TEACHER TAPPED FOR NATIONAL ECOLOGY PROGRAM
Kelly Bearden, a teacher at Mount Hollys College Park Middle School, was one of 16 teachers nationwide selected to participate in the Keystone Environmental Program. Bearden recently spent a week in Colorado studying conservation and sustainability, and preparing to bring those lessons back to her classrooms. WCBDS FOWLER AWARDED ORDER OF THE PALMETTO
Rob Fowler, chief meteorologist for WCBD-TVs News 2, was honored with the Order of the Palmetto for his work with Toys for Tots. The Order of the Palmetto is the highest civilian honor awarded by the Governors Office of South Carolina. DEAN-KIRBY GETS NOD FROM WEICHERT FOUNDER
Jim Weichert (left), founder and president of Weichert, Realtors, recognized Bryan Crabtree, president and CEO of three Charleston-area Weichert franchises, at a recent gathering of the organizations Founders Club affiliates. Weichert congratulated Crabtree for his companys consistent annual increase in production since opening in September 2003.
