Tim Winkler, CEO and principal of Winkler Consulting Group, was selected as a presenter at the joint Mid-Atlantic/Southeastern conference for the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.

Stephanie Taylor of AgentOwned Preferred Group in Mount Pleasant was inducted into the National Association of Realtors, which holds its members to a strict code of ethics and a pledge of higher service to clients, customers and community.

Mike Veeck, president of the Charleston RiverDogs, is one of four men who have been tabbed for induction into the South Atlantic League Hall of Fame’s Class of 2006.

Mount Pleasant Business and Professional Association awarded four high school seniors a total of $5,000 as recipients of the annual Joe Brinson Memorial Scholarship program. The four seniors named were Carley Anderson, Elizabeth Bloder, Richard “Mark” Jones and Addison Howard.

Community Pride Inc. recognized I’On developer Vince Graham with its first developer award. I’On also received three awards for excellence in marketing, including best direct-mail program or piece, best advertising campaign and best newspaper ad, color or black and white, at the annual PRISM awards ceremony.

Alan Jackson of McKellar & Associates, was awarded the 2006 architect of the year by the Charleston Contractors Association.

Paul Heinauer, president of Glasspro Inc., addressed a symposium sponsored by the National Glass Association on the topic of “Profitability Through Diversification” at the National Glass Association’s Conference and Expo in Tucson, Arizona.

Through a partnership with Pro Bono Legal Services and the Charleston School of Law, Brett Barker has been selected for the inaugural homeless legal clinic summer fellowship at Crisis Ministries.

Jeff Yungman, clinical director at Crisis Ministries, will complete a Curtin Fellowship with the Charleston County Public Defender’s Office this summer.

Angela Musselwhite, of S&ME Inc., was awarded the 2006 engineer of the year by the Charleston Contractors Association.

The Charleston area hospitality industry honored several local tourism leaders at the Travel Council annual meeting held at Charleston area convention center complex. The leaders named were: Susan Frampton, of the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, for her leadership as executive director of the event for the past 18 years, Richard Todd, of WTMA 1250 AM, for his assistance in publicizing the economic importance of tourism and his support of the annual “Be A Tourist In Your Own Town” program, Dianne Parker, of the Holiday Inn Historic District, who helped the Holiday Inn Historic District earn a “Best in the World” designation from Holiday Inn Hotels, Amy Hutto, Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, for her 10 years of service in promoting and marketing the Charleston area as a premier travel destination and Charleston County Council Chairman Leon Stavrinakis, who received the Barrett Lawrimore Tourism Leadership Award for his advocacy and leadership in local government.

The Clemson University alumni association recognized Robert D. Fairey of Charleston’s Trident Construction Company Inc., as one of five 2006 Distinguished Service Award winners, the university’s highest alumni honor.

Tobey Wagner, founder and president of Sod Solutions Inc. in Mount Pleasant, received the 2006 Florida Sod Growers Cooperative’s Award of Merit.

Three senior staff for Corporate DevelopMint ranked among the top 10 speakers by attendees at the District III CASE (council for the advancement and support of education) conference in Nashville. Corporate DevelopMint's presenters included June Bradham, president, Anthony Meyer, and Dan Rogge, both senior consultants with the company.
