Eqqus Mortgage promoted James Sumpter to chief operating officer. Sumpter formerly served as the vice president of operations.

Patriots Point Links in Mount Pleasant named Bucky Dudley head golf professional. Dudley previously served as assistant professional at RiverTowne Country Club.

MassMutual financial group hired Rebecca Picard and Peter Harris. Picard, a recent graduate from the College of Charleston, is the marketing coordinator. Harris joined the company as a specialist in college planning.

Gena Henry and Jonathan Tuthill have joined Trident United Way. Henry, who previously served as acquisitions editor for University Press of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., is the campaign division director. Tuthill, who previously served as the district executive for Trident’s Carolina Coastal Chapter, is the campaign division director.

The National Association For Continence hired Rachel Levkowicz as health educator and member services associate, Shelly Huckabee as Web site administrator and financial reporting associate and Caryn Antos as publicity and publications associate. The association also promoted Melissa Ross to the position of membership and fund development manager.

The Gibbes Museum of Art hired Marla Loftus as the director of communications. Loftus previously served in marketing management positions for Kaleidoscope Marketing Group in Charleston, Starbucks Coffee Co. in Atlanta and the Alliance Theatre Co. in Atlanta.

Weichert Realtors-Dean Kelby hired two new agents: Virginia Leigh Eagan for the Charleston office and Cindy Vasquez Morant for the Mount Pleasant office.

Century 21 Properties Plus Inc. hired several new agents: Lathaniel Ford for the North Charleston office and Jim and Julie Chalupsky for the Mount Pleasant office. Ford previously worked for J.K. Marvita Thomas and Jessica Sifford joined the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. The association also promoted Jessica Fryar. Thomas, who previously worked for the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, is the administrative assistant. Sifford, who previously served as the marketing/event coordinator for the Charleston Metro Sports Council, is the marketing and communications coordinator.
