Jack R. Miller was promoted to office manager for HDRs Charleston office. Miller, who has been with HDR for 22 years, is a registered professional engineer and a member of the American Water Works Association and Construction Specifications Institute.
Life Cycle Engineering hired Jacqueline White, Scott Herrick and Cathy McCause. White is a systems administrator who earned an associates degree from Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. Herrick is a subject-matter expert in reliability with more than 20 years of experience in the field. McCause is the vice president of marketing with 20 years of experience in proprietary software and implementation services.
Jocelyn Edwards joined the Footlight Players as the director of development. Edwards, a College of Charleston graduate, previously worked for Trident United Way as a campaign division director for retail and technology companies.
Kenton Barham Morrison was named director of development for the Gibbes Museum of Art. Morrison has been with the museum since 2002, most recently serving as its development officer.
Emory Bull has joined Glasspro Inc. as a sales representative. She was previously a marketing coordinator and account development representative for two local firms.

He has more than 20 years of banking experience and previously worked with SunTrust Bank. Shannon Ridings joins as lead teller for the main office. She has more than 27 years of banking experience and previously worked with SunTrust Bank. Dawn Kunak was promoted to banking officer. Pam Gilliam was promoted to vice president and will continue to serve as loan operations manager at the main office. Randy Foster has been promoted to loan review analyst. Robbie Rohrer was promoted to assistant vice president and senior credit analyst. Sommer Smith was promoted to lead teller at the Reidville Road office. Crystal Lancaster was promoted to accounting specialist at the main office.
SunTrust Banks Inc. named Mitchell Wright as group vice president, area manager for SunTrust in the Charleston market. He will be responsible for the retail banking operations, including the companys retail and in-store branches. Wright previously served as area manager for SunTrust in east Cobb County, Ga.
Jamie Habeck and Sophie Riddle joined Gamble Givens & Moody LLC as bookkeepers. Habeck earned an associates degree in accounting from Cambria Rowe in Indiana, Penn. Riddle and has more than 40 years of bookkeeping experience.
First Financial Holdings Inc. named Susan E. Baham as chief operating officer of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Charleston. She will retain her responsibilities as executive vice president and chief financial officer and will also oversee management development.

Messervy has 32 years of experience in banking and commercial lending and was previously a vice president and lending officer for Business Carolina Inc. and vice president and commercial loan officer for Southtrust Bank.

He has more than 10 years of experience in operations management and previously worked for XMC Inc., an authorized Xerox sales and service provider, in Memphis, Tenn. John Bolton has joined as project coordinator. He holds a masters degree in city and regional planning and previously held planner positions with Berkeley County and the town of Moncks Corner. Christian Chamblee has joined as a leasing agent. He most recently served as a leasing and acquisition associate at Ziff Properties in Charleston. Matt Berberick has joined as a project construction manager. Berberick most recently served as construction manager for The Shuler Group in Orangeburg. Anna Mae Van Dyck has joined as an accountant. She most recently served as a staff accountant for Lowcountry Harley-Davidson in Charleston.

William M. Christie, was named president of the American College of Building Arts. He has held the position of provost and chief academic officer at the college since July 2005. Christie has more than 30 years of experience in higher education administration, having served as an associate dean for the University of Arizona and Furman University, provost at Wingate University, and the dean and chief academic officer at Catawba College.
Bryan Paquin, the former director of training for Firehouse Subs, was named the area representative for the sandwich chain in the Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina coasts region.
