Shealee M. Harmon has been promoted to corporate secretary for Cullum Mechanical Construction Inc. and its subsidiaries, Cullum Constructors and Cullum Services Inc. She also is controller for the company and serves on its board of directors.
Beazer Homes added Susanne Holt as a customer advocate, Drew DaCosta as an assistant builder, and Misty Dahl as an assistant new home counselor at Briarwood. Holt will be responsible for following up with customers at various stages throughout the building process. DaCosta previously worked for Pfaehler Millwork and Weatherguard Hurricane Products. Dahl previously worked for Portrait Homes as a licensed realtor.
Tommy Stroop has been promoted to director of sales/West Region with William M. Bird and Co. Inc. His responsibilities include managing a team of sales representatives that handle sales initiatives, promotions and customer relations throughout the West region. Stroop was previously an outside sales representative with WMB covering a territory near Nashville, Tenn.
Winyah Home Health Care has named Christy Stephens as account executive for its North Charleston agency covering Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, and Hampton counties. Stephens earned her masters degree in business administration from Georgia State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Roper St. Francis Healthcare announced two new employees, Elizabeth McCaleb and Mary Tunstall. McCaleb joins the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center as an oncology social worker. She previously served for three years as program coordinator with Tri-County Project Care. Tunstall has been named a lactation consultant for Roper St. Francis Healthcares Womens, Infants and Childrens Services. She is a board certified lactation consultant who has worked at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital the past 10 years as a pediatric nurse and a nursery nurse.
Lifeworks LLC announced the following employees: Brian K. Sullivan, Ph.D., psychology, and a licensed clinical psychologist, as the owner/manager; Kristen L. Campbell, Ph.D., philosophy, and a licensed clinical psychologist, joins LifeWorks from the Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission and will specialize in adult individual and group psychotherapy; Ryan Terrell, a licensed professional counselor, comes to Lifeworks from Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health and will specialize in the treatment of children and families; Jessie Brzezinski, a licensed professional counselor, was previously a staff counselor and adjunct faculty member with the Counseling and Substance Abuse Center for the College of Charleston and will specialize in eating disorders and relationship concerns; Davis Henderson, Ph.D., philosophy, and a licensed clinical psychologist, joins Lifeworks to provide psychological testing, treatment and consultation services for children, adolescents and their families; Marisa Nava, Ph.D., philosophy, and a licensed clinical psychologist, will specialize in children from birth through adolescence.
Tracy Pou has been named manager of government affairs and corporate communications for Select Health of South Carolina. Pou manages government affairs activities, initiatives and legislative relationships that support Select Healths business objectives. She is also responsible for managing Select Healths public affairs department.
Ericka Stricklin-Parker, Ph.D., clinical psychology, has joined the . Stricklin-Parker is a graduate of The Citadels counseling program and received her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.
Bishop Gadsden named Carol Rodriguez as director of Myers Hall. Rodriguez, who has many years of health care management experience, will oversee all aspects of resident care and staffing in Bishop Gadsdens assisted living area.
Scott Stonestreet and Rhett Crull have joined Anderson Insurance Associates as new agents. Stonestreet, a graduate of Wofford College, specializes in commercial insurance. Crull, a Charleston native, graduated from The Citadel and specializes in marine insurance.
Aaron Schluep has joined the staff of The South Carolina Agency in Mount Pleasant as a financial service professional specializing in investment consultation and financial planning. He previously worked as sales manager with Western and Southern Financial Group.
Shelia Smith has joined TCC of SC Inc. as an account executive specializing in health reimbursement arrangements, flexible spending accounts and both fully-insured and self-funded insurance plans. She has more than 10 years of group health insurance experience, having worked at East Cooper Regional Medical Center and CIGNA HealthCare of SC.
Custom Development Solutions hired Jeffery D. Doherty as senior campaign director. Doherty was previously director of development at the Greater Kansas City chapter of the American Red Cross in Kansas City, Mo. He has 11 years of fundraising experience.
Gamble Givens & Moody LLC hired Mary Middleton, Curtis Minhinnett and Brian Vaxmonsky. Both Middleton and Minhinnett earned masters degrees in accounting from the College of Charleston. Vaxmonsky earned a bachelors degree in accounting from Bloomsburg University. Middleton has joined the Kiawah office as a staff accountant, while Minhinnett and Vaxmonskly joined as staff accountants in the Summerville office.
New South Mortgage hired two new employees, Jason Fralix, office manager, and Jarrett Carter, a mortgage consultant.
Soirée Inc. has hired Susan Kelly and Lexi Ritsch as event consultants. Kelly graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelors degree in communication studies. Ritsch graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelors degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management.
Oldfield promoted Jessie Nelson to executive chef at the River Club. Nelson is responsible for all of the private clubs culinary duties, including creative menu planning, kitchen inventory and food presentation and style.
Stuart Foss has been named executive director of Rein & Shine. Foss was previously on the board of directors for the organization. She was most recently employed with Tri-County Project Care.
Cheryl Houser was promoted to director of accounting, and Allyn Graham was promoted to director of budgeting, analysis and compliance for the South Carolina Research Authority. Graham has been with the SCRA for 18 years and most recently served as the director of accounting. Houser has been with the SCRA since 1990 and has more than 31 years of accounting experience.
Jennifer Asnip Quattlebaum has joined the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce as director of special events. She is responsible for planning all chamber events including the Business After Hours events, quarterly breakfasts, the Small Business Expo, the golf tournament, Taste of the Town and the annual gala. She previously worked as a senior sales manager at the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Charleston Habitat for Humanity named Jeremy Browning as executive director. In addition, Kayla Droney has joined as the affiliates director of development, and Rob Lewis is now the organizations operations manager.
Jennie Stephens has been named executive director of the Center for Heirs Property Preservation. She is responsible for all administrative tasks, service delivery, fundraising and managerial aspects of the organization. Willie Heyward is the managing attorney responsible for conducting educational seminars and representing clients in Probate Court and before the Master-in-Equity. He is also chief mediator in settling property disputes and coordinator of paralegals and volunteer mediators. Glynis Washington is the legal assistant responsible for helping to prepare and draft legal pleadings, motions and other discovery documents, and she serves as heirs property paralegal for researching titles and family genealogies, as well as preparing deeds and wills.
The Summerville Family YMCA hired Jonathan Lewellyn as sports director. Lewellyns primary responsibilities will be to manage the youth and adult sports leagues. He previously worked for the Goose Creek Community Center as the fitness director.
Pixie Lily added two new members, Courtney Agosti and Jean McDowell. Agosti joins the company as the director of sales. She has a bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the College of Charleston. McDowell joins the company as the director of production. She is a recent graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.
Don Singer has been promoted to merchandise manager for Purafilter 2000s South Carolina and eastern Georgia market. He was previously the route sales representative for Purafilters Greenville-Spartanburg market.
Angel Passailaigue Postell has been named executive director of the Distinctly Charleston Food+Wine Festival. She previously owned her own public relations firm, Home Team Communications.
Blackbaud Inc. announced several new hires, Mike Sugg, Shannon Edwards, Sandra Byrne, Carl Tierney, Mark Unrine, Bruce Thompson, Tom Ashbaugh and Ken Haigh. Sugg is the director of recruiting. He previously worked for IDX Systems Corporation in Seattle where he was the national recruiting leader. Edwards is the compensation and benefits manager. She previously worked with MedCath Inc. as the human resources director of compensation and benefits. Byrne is a manager in project management operations. She previously worked with Pearson School Systems as the supervisor of student information systems. Tierney is the enterprise consulting practice manager for consulting services. He previously worked with Unisys as the systems architect for global financial services. Unrine is the senior manager for account development. He previously worked with Covente Inc. as a client manager for strategic accounts. Thompson is the national sales manager for enterprise sales. He was most recently managing partner at Agile Interactive LLC. Ashbaugh is the outside sales manager for Blackbaud Analytics. He previously worked with Sterling Commerce as the director of regional sales. Haigh is the manager of software development. He previously worked as an engineering manager for Intellisync Corp.
Automated Trading Desk LLC hired Tim Brennan as executive vice president of equity options. He will be responsible for developing and building an automated options market maker for ATD. Brennan has experience in creating automated market making functions for firms including Morgan Stanley, Citadel Investment Group and Fox River Financial Resources.
Romaine Smith and Chris Crawford joined CarePoint Inc. Smith is a programmer analyst with a background in pharmacy technology and was previously senior applications programmer for the Columbus Metropolitan Library in Columbus, Ohio. Crawford, a product specialist, was previously a medical office financial manager for a family clinic in Paris, Missouri.
Kyle Thomas has joined Glasspro Inc. as an auto glass technician and will handle auto glass installations in the companys Walterboro and Summerville facilities. He was previously employed in the auto glass industry.
Schmitt Walker Architects Inc. promoted Michael S. Edwards to senior associate in the firm. Edwards has a masters degree in architecture from Clemson University and is a professional member of the American Institute of Architects.
WPC Inc. expanded its Mount Pleasant engineering team with the addition of Donovan Ledford as the geotechnical department manager and Kathryn Copeland as a staff materials professional in construction services. Ledford was most recently the senior geotechnical engineer in the newly acquired Jacksonville, Fla., office. Copeland earned her masters degree in construction materials from Clemson University.
Jennifer Skinner has joined Davis & Floyd Inc. as a staff civil engineer. Skinner received her masters degree in civil engineering from Clemson University.
Jason R. Hubert has joined Tobias & West LLC as a structural engineer-in-training. Hubert holds a masters degree in structural engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is an adjunct assistant professor at The Citadel.
Debbie Seabrook has joined Berenyi Inc. as a structural designer. She has more than seven years of structural building design experience working at Complete Building Corp. in Charleston and designing structures of pre-cast concrete for Hanson Pipe & Products in Summerville.
Cassie Cullins, who worked with the Charleston RiverDogs in 2005 in the promotions department, has been hired by the club as the director of community relations. Cullins will work directly with community leaders to spread the RiverDogs Fun Is Good philosophy. The RiverDogs also hired Mike Williams as the head groundskeeper at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park. Williams most recently served on the grounds crew for the World Baseball Classic and previously worked as the head groundskeeper for the New York Mets and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
The South Carolina Stingrays named Darren Abbott president of the organization. Abbott came to the Stingrays in 1996 and became the director of public relations and broadcasting in 1999.
Steven Olson, Mark McElheney and Millard Smith have joined the Mount Pleasant office of AgentOwned Realty. Olson has a bachelors degree in business management from Purdue University and is also licensed to sell real estate in Florida. McElheney has a degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky. Smith specializes in development property, larger tracts and investment properties.
The Beach Co. hired Kendra Faber and Merrett E. Clements as residential brokers at Beach Residential, its residential brokerage division. Faber will serve as a broker for the group based out of Seaside Farms in Mount Pleasant. She previously spent two years as the residential administrator for Beach Residential. Clements will primarily manage the administration of contracts, addendums and real estate documents. She was previously a realtor for Prudential Carolina Real Estate.
The Greater Charleston Homes team, which includes Maggie Curtis, Bob Curtis and Candace Brace, joined Century 21 Properties Plus and will work out of the Mount Pleasant office. Ryan England has also joined the company as a real estate agent in its Mount Pleasant office. He was previously a real estate agent at Keller Williams in Charleston.
EXiT Realty Charleston Group has hired Chris Jacobs to join its Mount Pleasant office as a sales agent. Jacobs holds a bachelors degree in business administration from the College of Charleston.
