Appointments
The Professional Referral Network elected the following officers for 2005: president Robert Bernstein, an attorney with Bernstein & Bernstein; vice president Suzanne Barr, president of Azure Sky Resources; treasurer/secretary John C. Tiller, assistant vice president of Scott & Stringfellow Inc.; membership director Diane Bogart, owner of Cruise Planners; and past president Kevin Jackson, vice president of Investors Mortgage of Charleston.
Timothy M. Winkler Sr., a founding principal at the Winkler Consulting Group, was selected to serve on the South Carolina state committee for the national Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, a national organization that focuses exclusively on philanthropy issues for healthcare organizations.
Charleston Affordable Housing Inc. elected John Craig Comer and Theodore Jackson Bender IV to its board of trustees. Comer is a partner in Reavis-Comer Development. He previously served on the board for three years. Bender is the Charleston division manager for Homes of the South LLC.
Pat McDermott, treasurer/controller of The Beach Co., has been elected vice president of the board of directors of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. McDermott also will serve as chairman of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee and will sit on the political action committee.
