Daniel Robbins has joined CharlestonJobNetwork.com as account executive. He is from Charlotte and brings more than eight years of sales experience in both the financial services and telecommunications industries.
Education
The Lowcountry Graduate Center hired Kellee Schreiner as assistant director and Shirley Hinson as special assistant to the executive director. Both will have responsibilities with the College of Charleston North Campus as well. Schreiner previously was marketing/public relations coordinator for CT Communications in North Carolina. Hinson represents Berkeley County in the South Carolina House of Representatives and serves as chair of the Berkeley County Legislative Delegation.
Real Estate and Construction
Brandy Page and Khristine Parrish joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic International. Page, a former property manager in Orangeburg, is the property manager for Coldwell Banker. Parrish is the marketing coordinator. She previously worked in customer service in the Denver area.
Scott Elliott and Mackenzie Elliott joined Keller Williams Realty. They previously had their own real estate business, Elliott Family Realty.
Dunes Properties of Charleston Inc. added two reservationists, Leyla Raizk and Jamie Golfin, to its rental management division. Raizk previously worked in hospitality management. Golfin has a bachelors degree in communication from the College of Charleston.
Steve Deal and Carrie Morey joined Coldwell Banker Coastal Properties in Mount Pleasant and Fred Fellers joined Coldwell Banker Coastal Properties West Ashley office. Deal has 13 years sales experience. Morey is a recent Clemson University graduate. Fellers is a College of Charleston graduate.
Ron Chamberlain joined Century 21 Properties Plus Inc. as a Realtor working at the Johns Island office. He is a certified buyers representative and has several years experience in selling real estate by auction. Emma Elaine Conner joined the company as a Realtor working in the Mount Pleasant office. She previously was a secretary for the Department of Homeland Security in Charleston.
Buck Lumber and Building Supply Inc. named Edgar A. Buck Jr. chairman of the board and chief executive officer. He served as a senior vice president since 1995. Also, Glenn A. Hoy was promoted to president and chief operating officer. Hoy joined the company in 1994 as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Economic Development
The Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce hired Bob Jones as executive director. Jones previously worked for the American Red Cross, Carolina Lowcountry Chapter as director of public relations.
Catering
Scott Malouche joined Encore Catering and Cooper Hall Senior Living Community as food and beverage director. He most recently was club manager of the Yacht Club of Hilton Head Island and food and beverage operations manager for MCI Heritage. Andrea Shrewsbury also joined Encore Catering as the catering sales manager. She previously was a Liz Claiborne consultant in Belk department stores in Charlotte, N.C.
Financial
First Federal appointed Rick Stoughton senior vice president of planning and development. He previously served as vice president of information systems. Jay Johnston moved from e-commerce manager to senior vice president of information technology. Robert Mayhue is manager of e-commerce; Jack Torlay is manager of systems/application support; and Janice Wilmot is manager of the network services team.
American Home Mortgage hired Jami Feltner as a loan consultant. Feltner has eight years experience in the mortgage business. Stephen Haith joined the company as associate loan consultant. He previously was a communications technician in the U.S. Air Force.
Media and Marketing
Rawle Murdy Associates Inc. hired James Briggs as public relations account executive, Lauren Rafferty as co-op sales manager for client South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, and Matthew Sheriff as production artist. Briggs previously worked for public relations firms in Chicago and New York. Rafferty has several years of sales and marketing experience. Sheriff has more than 10 years experience in print and photography production.
The Charleston Reg-ional Business Journal named Heather Witt-Badoud production manager. She previously was production director for New Readers Press in Syracuse, N.Y.
Funeral Services
McAlister-Smith hired Richard Dean Allan as licensed funeral director and Daniel Jordan as funeral director apprentice. Allan has more than 20 years of experience.
Health Care
Sally Amerson Cate joined the office of Dr. Olivia Palmer, a dentist specializing in general, aesthetic and implant dentistry. In addition to her duties as office manager, Cate will oversee the construction of a new 4,000-square-foot office in the West Ashley area.
Dr. Cayce C. Tangeman joined Access Healthcare LLC as a family practice physician with special interest in womens health and preventive medicine. Her Mount Pleasant office will be Access first sister facility and is scheduled to open in August.
New Business
Brett McKee opened Oak Steakhouse at 17 Broad St. McKee is executive chef and partner and will oversee all day-to-day operations. He formerly owned Bretts Restaurant. Craig Nelson joins Oak as general manager, overseeing staff training and education, guest relations, wine program development and the coordination of private dining. He previously was general manager at Coast and Rue de Jean. Michael Beford is assistant general manager, serving as floor manager and assisting in the areas of staff training and education, guest relations and wine program development. He formerly was general manager at Bretts Restaurant.
