GLOBETROTTER VISITS MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Motivational speaker and former Harlem Globetrotter Tracy Williams spoke with students at Laing Middle School in Mount Pleasant. The theme of Williams presentation was, You Can Change Your Life by Changing Your Mind. After the presentation, the teachers had students outline Williams main points during their writing classes that afternoon. Williams also gave autographs and bookmarks to the students and took the time to speak individually with many of them. Pictured: Deborah Price, principal of Laing Middle School, and Williams.

GLASSPRO CELEBRATES CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK

S.C. SEA GRANT CELEBRATES 25 YEARS
The S.C. Sea Grant Consortium celebrated its 25th anniversary recently. Consortium executive director Rick DeVoe, at left, gave Sen. (Ret.) Ernest Hollings a token of the agencys appreciation for his dedication to ocean and coastal resources. The events featured speakers included Dr. Andrew Sorensen, president of USC; Scott Rayder, chief of staff at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; Louisa Koch, deputy assistant administrator at NOAAs Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research; Ronald Baird, director of the NOAA National Sea Grant College Program; Margaret Davidson, director of the NOAA Coastal Services Center; and Hollings.
S.C.s first Passport Health Opens
Ingrid N. Brewster opened the first Passport Health franchise in South Carolina. The main office is located in North Charleston. Passport Health is a national franchise dedicated to travel education and medicine, and provides travel immunizations, on-site flu shot and meningitis clinics, bioterrorism and disaster response training.
