She was formerly development director for the Preservation Society of Charleston. Daniel J. Mace joined as a software engineer in the payroll engineering department. He was formerly a software engineer with Prequel Solutions in Pittsburgh, Pa. Andrew Alberico is an implementation and operations manager in the eBilling department. He was formerly project manager of Dewolff, Boberg & Associates in Charleston. Rachel Bauer joined as a junior software engineer in the eExchange division. She was formerly an information resource consultant for College of Charleston. Jennifer Franklin is an intern software engineer in the Web development division. She is currently a senior at College of Charleston, completing a degree in computer science. Antionette Gilliard joined as a data analyst in the carrier services department. Irene E. Constantine has joined Goff-DAntonio Associates as a project manager. Constantine, who holds a masters of architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, previously worked with firms in Charlotte, Austin and Charleston.
Derek Piper has been named area manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas Inc. Piper will be responsible for managing operations in South Carolina.
Pete L. Bailey has been named vice president of Cullum Constructors Inc. Bailey holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Carolina and has been a member of the Cullum team since 1987.
David Schambach joined Mashburn Construction Co. Inc. as a field engineer. Schambach is currently working on The Complex for Industrial and Economical Development at Trident Technical College. Peter Lukens also joined Mashburn as a field engineer. Lukens graduated from the department of mechanical engineering at Clemson University and began working with Mashburn on the Freshfields Village. Mashburn also announced the addition of Meredith Wisor as project administrator and Brian White as a superintendent. Wisor, a graduate of Bucknell University, will be responsible for organizing all types of commercial construction projects, including health care, office, retail, lodging, industrial, churches and historical renovations. White has 15 years of commercial and residential construction experience.
Wilson Johnson III has joined Soil Consultants Inc. as a senior geotechnical engineer. Johnson graduated from The Virginia Military Institute with a degree in civil engineering and received his MBA from Southern Illinois University. He was formerly a principal engineer with Santee Cooper.

Don Pottieger Jr. was recently appointed as the new president of FMI Services Group Inc. FMI provides janitorial, landscaping, and laundry and linen services to industrial, institutional, hospitality and commercial offices in seven states. The company, headquartered in Charleston, employs more than 1,200 people.
Charla Chitwood recently joined the staff of California Closets. Chitwood, previously a customer service specialist with State Farm Insurance, will act as showroom coordinator for California Closets recently opened showroom at 502 King St.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Blackbaud Inc., a provider of software and related services designed specifically for nonprofit organizations, announced the appointment of John Mistretta as vice president of human resources. Mistretta joins the company from the National Commerce Financial Corp. (now SunTrust), where he was executive vice president of human resources and alternative businesses.
Tiffney Cullum was hired as a professional organizer by Clear Vision Organization LLC in an effort to grow the company by offering customized organizing services at various price points.
MEDIA & MARKETING
Home Team Communications, a marketing and public relations firm, recently hired Kristen Johnson. Johnson joins the firm as public relations associate and is responsible for assisting with client relations for ongoing projects, including writing and editing, community relations, event planning and marketing.
McAlister-Smith Funeral Home announced the addition of Bruce Sampson as vice president of sales and marketing. Sampson brings 35 years of experience in the industry as a licensed funeral director as well as a certified pre-need counselor.
Jessica Stephens has joined Charleston magazine as production assistant. Stephens holds a bachelors degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and an associates degree in graphic design from Trident Technical College. She previously worked as a photographer for Life Touch Studios in Summerville and for the South Carolina Historical Society as a graphic designer.
Jim Parker has been promoted to local sales manger for Comcast Spotlight. Parker was previously a senior account executive and has been with the company for five years.
MeadWestvaco Corp. announced that Donna Owens Cox has been elected to the position of vice president, communications. Cox will be responsible for all aspects of the companys communications, including public relations and internal communications.
Arcadia Publishing announced the additions of Maggie Tiller Bullwinkel, Lynn Ruggieri and Nancy J. Collins. Bullwinkel was previously with the South Carolina Governors Office of Constituent Services. She is an acquisitions editor. Ruggieri was previously with the Boone Area Sports and Events Commission. She is the west publicity manager. Collins was promoted from national accounts sales associate at Arcadia to south publicity manager. Arcadia also announced the promotion of Deanda Ware to national account sales associate and the hiring of Margherita Grant as a customer service agent.
FINANCE
South Carolina Federal Credit Union selected Troy Hall to be the new chief operating officer, effective Aug. 1. Hall comes to S.C. Federal with more than 28 years of experience. He previously worked for Telhio Credit Union in Columbus, Ohio, where he was senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage has named Mikell H. Richards as branch manager of its Charleston location. Richards will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including customer service, business development, marketing and promotion, and sales training. Richards has more than 12 years of financial and industry experience. He previously served as an account executive with First Federal of Charleston.
Carolina First announced that Jay Reagan has been appointed to assistant vice president. Reagan joined Carolina First in April 2005 and is currently commercial loan officer for Charleston.
Casdell E. Singleton has been named a banking officer by The National Bank of South Carolina. Singleton, who has more than 28 years of banking experience, joined NBSC in May 2005 as a commercial account officer in the Broad Street office.
Matthew Everson, Marie Parnell, Martha Johnson, Alicia Smith and Jeremy Gilbert have joined Pratt-Thomas & Gumb, CPAs. Everson, who joined the business valuation department, is a 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Parnell, who joined the tax department, holds a bachelors degree in accounting and business administration from the College of Charleston and formerly was employed by Welch, Roberts & Amburn LLP. Johnson, a database administration specialist, holds a bachelors and masters degrees in mathematics from the University of South Carolina. Smith, a 1995 graduate of Coastal Carolina University, holds a bachelors degree in accounting, and Gilbert holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Charleston Southern University.
RBC Centura Bank has promoted Todd Brown to South Carolina Commercial Banking regional president. Brown will continue to be based in Charleston where he has served since 2000 as RBC Centuras Charleston market executive. In this new position, Brown leads a team of four market executives and works closely with RBC Centuras underwriting, commercial real estate and personal and business banking teams.

J. Drayton Calmes IV has joined Norvell Real Estate Group LLC as a commercial sales and leasing associate. Drayton graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in business administration. Previously, he was a dockhand supervisor at the Charleston Harbor Marina.
James Doran Co. recently hired George Tullos as development manager. Tullos oversees the development and construction of Winter Springs Town Center Phase I, a mixed-used development in Winter Springs, Fla.
Ansley Sliker has joined Sandlapper Real Estate Group. She has more than 12 years of experience in local public relations, marketing and sales. Sliker will focus on residential sales.
RE/MAX Professional Realty announced the association of Warren Phillips to the team. Warren is a 2005 Citadel graduate and will take the position of a buyer agent.

Weichert, Realtor Dean-Kelby announced the hiring of James E. Cammons Sr. and Beth Roberts. Cammons is a new sales associate and will specialize in residential and commercial sales to clients in Goose Creek and all of Berkeley County. Roberts will specialize in residential sales and rentals as well as estate sales to clients in the Charleston area.

Mark J. Dunlay has joined Alcoa Mt. Holly as the plant manager. Dunlay was previously the works manager at the Alcoa Tennessee smelting facility. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Alcoa Mt. Holly facility located in Goose Creek.

John Huguley Jr. has been named the new director of alumni services at the College of Charleston. Huguley comes to the college from Image Network LLC where he was the CEO for the past two years. He will be responsible for engaging alumni and friends with the College of Charleston in support of the colleges goals.
Col. John F. Rivers, assistant commandant for operations and training, will oversee the South Carolina Corps of Cadets during the fall semester at The Citadel. Rivers was named interim commandant to temporarily replace Brig. Gen. Emory Mace, who retired effective Sept. 2. Maces replacement, Col. Gregory A. Stone, chief of staff and deputy commandant of the United States Corps of Cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, will arrive later this fall.

Kendra J. Bell has joined the staff of Carolina Medical Assessment Center as a forensic assistant. She holds a masters degree in social work and has been employed in Virginia and most recently Gastonia, N.C.
Michael Z. Morabito has opened a private optometric practice, Palmetto Vision Care. The practice is located in Bees Ferry Landing at 3750 Savannah Highway. Morabito holds a doctorate of optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, as well as a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University. He is a licensed and board-certified optometrist.

Liz Goodloe has been promoted to lead assistant for general manager Chris Dawson at Fish. Goodloe will assist Dawson in all areas of restaurant management. Previously, she was with Colonial in Ceglie Messipica, Italy.
Crew Carolina LLC has named Jeff Lanzaro executive chef of The Boathouse on Lake Julian. His responsibilities include managing the kitchen staff, developing creative and unique menu items, and assuring that Boathouse guests have outstanding customer service.

Carolina Lanterns has opened a second store in the Lowcountry. The new store is located on Daniel Island at 162 Seven Farms Drive, Suite 300, next to the Publix grocery store.
Ingrid N. Brewster opened the first Passport Health franchise in South Carolina. Passport Health is a national franchise dedicated to travel education and medicine, providing travel immunizations, on-site flu shot and meningitis clinics, and bioterrorism and disaster response.
ENTERTAINMENT
Kathy Havis, Susan Googe Taylor and Mona Springett have joined the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Havis joins as the finance manager. She is a CPA and has experience in both the public and private sector. Taylor has been named development manager. She has more than 10 years of experience in market strategy, business development and fundraising. Springett was formerly employed by The Don Thompson Chorale in Jacksonville. John Girault, who has been with the orchestra since 2001, has been named the marketing and sales manager.
NONPROFIT
Tonya A. Pilkenton joined the John Ancrum SPCA as the associate director of development. Pilkentons responsibilities will include overseeing the development program and team. She was previously the assistant director of development for Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC.
Virginia Pierce joined Rein & Shine as executive director. She is responsible for the management and development of programs and fundraising for the organization.
RECREATION
Coerver of South Carolina, a licensee of Coerver Coaching, announced the hiring of Temoc Suarez as its director of coaching for its South Carolina-based year round soccer schools. Suarez played for three years in the MLS, played five years in the A-league, was a two-time All American and ACC Rookie of the Year at the University of North Carolina, and was a Parade All-American and a Gatorade Player of the Year.
