Daniel J. Body of Charleston joined Charleston Southern Universitys board of visitors executive council. Body, the chief executive officer for Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health, will serve on the board until Dec. 31, 2007.
Andra L. Watkins, principal of Positus Consulting LLC, was appointed to the board of directors for the East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club. Watkins has been a member of the club for three years. She serves as chairwoman of the clubs attendance committee.
Laurie Kramer of Wholly Cow Ice Creams and Coffee Beans is the newest member of the Charles-ton Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
The Salvation Army named four new members to its advisory board. Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Hugh Tant III is senior vice president at Southcoast Community Bank. He recently returned from duty in Iraq with the U.S. Army where he served as director of Iraqi currency exchange. Tant is chairman of the Christmas committee. Henry Siegling of Southcoast Community Bank serves as chairman of the program committee. Lynda Sullivan, who has a law practice in Charleston, serves on the Christmas committee. Joe Buckheister, vice president and general manager of McAllister Towing of Charleston, serves on the thrift store committee.
Richard Rick Buckner was named chairman of the board of directors at South Carolina Federal Credit Union. Buckner is the owner and chief executive officer of Radio Communications of Charleston Inc. He has served on the board since 2000 and was on the supervisory committee from 1997 until his appointment in 2000.
The Charleston Trident Home Builders Association reinstated a remodelors council to serve as a networking opportunity for those in the remodeling industry as well as a chance for members to learn about new products. Victoria Tori Martindale, vice president and sales/marketing director of Atlantic Builders, is council chairwoman. Van Herridge, owner of Rapid Repairs, is vice chairman. Rob Crawford, who operates the sales and estimating department for Citadel Enterprises, is secretary/treasurer.
