Agricultural sector looks for ways to grow

Leaders of S.C. agricultural industry are looking for growth from the production of sources for alternative energy and additions to the share of locally grown food consumed in-state and elsewhere, among other strategies. At a summit today in Charleston, leaders of the sector discussed ways to increase their economic impact to $50 billion over the next 10 years, an increase of $16 billion.
