The Art of Shaving has opened a store in Charleston Place.The Art of Shaving has opened a store at Charleston Place. The male-focused luxury retail shop sells a variety of shaving products and accessories. The Charleston location also has a barber spa, which combines barber services with essential oil facial treatments. The Art of Shaving product line includes essential oil-based grooming products and high-end shaving instruments, including razors, brushes, tools and accessories.

The Art of Shaving, located at 248 King St., is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.


Tanger Outlets Charleston is partnering with singer, actress and Disney star Bridgit Mendler for a mini concert followed by a question-and-answer session and autograph-signing. The Good Luck Charlie actress will perform at the Tanger Outlets at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 as part of Tanger’s KidStyle Tour and Fashion Camp, which includes outdoor relays and in-store events from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23. Kids and teens can get tips from local experts about fashion design and styling.


Pronovias wedding gowns will now be available at The Gown Boutique of Charleston.The Gown Boutique of Charleston is adding Pronovias wedding dresses to its collection. Pronovias, which specializes in lace, embroidery and high-quality silk, is a family-owned business that opened its original Barcelona store more than 50 years ago.

To celebrate Pronovias’ first venture into South Carolina, Gown Boutique of Charleston is showcasing more than 30 of its dresses this weekend. Brides are invited to a special event from 3-6 p.m. today, and by appointment only on Friday and Saturday; call 843-856-2682.

Brides who purchase a Pronovias wedding gown during the event will receive special pricing. Gown Boutique of Charleston is located in the Belle Hall Shopping Center on Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant.
