On the Menu for May 27, 2014

On the Menu provides the latest news from the Charleston area’s extensive culinary community, including new restaurants, new menu items and upcoming events, as well as details about local chefs. Submissions should be sent to dailyjournal@scbiznews.com.

The Park Cafe, at 730 Rutledge Ave., has added several new items to its lunch and dinner menu, including a daily fish selection, daily pasta special and daily hotdog special. Through June 8, in honor of Spoleto Festival USA and Piccolo Spoleto, The Park Cafe will offer half-price bottles of wine at dinner with the purchase of two entrees or sandwiches.

The restaurant is also offering picnics for the Piccolo Spoleto finale on June 7 in Hampton Park. Picnics are $30 and include a bottle of wine, cups, two types of cheese and a baguette. Orders can be made as late as 24 hours in advance by calling 843-410-1070.


Several Charleston-area bars are participating in Imbibe magazine and Campari cocktails’ Negroni Week June 2-8. During Negroni Week, bar participants will create a drink using Negroni and donate a portion of their proceeds to the charity of their choice.
