A Homewood Suites hotel in Mount Pleasant recently sold for $11.8 million, according to Charleston County land records.

Rupa LLC — a Bluefield, W.Va.-based company — bought the hotel and closed on the deal late last month, records show.

Land records show Suites at Seaside LLC as the property owner of the hotel in Seaside Farms Plantation, a mixed-use development with shops, restaurants and residential spaces.

Charles Wendell of Virginia Inn Management in Fayetteville, W.Va., was the managing partner for the hotel, and Charleston-based The Beach Co. was also a partner, according to Karen Bacot, The Beach Co.’s marketing director, in an email.

Neither Wendell nor hotel management were available for comment by press time.

The 107-room hotel sits on nearly four acres at 1998 Riviera Drive near the Isle of Palms Connector, records show. Within the Seaside Farms Plantation, The Beach Co. developed the Riviera at Seaside Farms, a 252-unit rental development.
