A new restaurant on Daniel Island will open for dinner on Monday.
The Islander, a Holy City Hospitality venture, will replace the former Queen Anne’s Revenge restaurant at 160 Fairchild St., according to a news release. The new eatery will offer cocktails, seafood and sushi.
General Manager Eric Foor said Daniel Island residents have been looking for more dining options.
“People here on the island love dining outside with fresh food. We wanted to give them that,” Foor said. “We’ve had tremendous response from the community thus far. People have been stopping by to see what’s going on.”
The Islander’s executive chef will be John Whisenant, who has worked at other Holy City Hospitality restaurants 39 Rue de Jean and The Daniel Island Club.
“This will be my kind of cuisine,” Whisenant said.
The new restaurant will include indoor and outdoor bars and extended patio space. Dinner will be served beginning at 5 p.m., and lunch and brunch hours are expected to be added in coming months. Private event, meeting and banquet space is also available, the news release said.
“Daniel Island is a growing area,” Foor said. “We want to be part of the community.”
Holy City Hospitality also owns Virginia’s on King, Coast Bar and Grill, Vincent Chicco’s, Victor Social Club, Michael’s on the Alley and Good Food Catering.
