Citadel Mall picked up two new tenants last week, and they are expected to open shops in April.

Neen’s Beans, owned by West Ashley resident Jeanine Hounam, will offer coffee and desserts in a shop next to Bath & Body Works in the Belk wing of the mall. The store will sell locally made Key lime pie and cheesecakes, along with cappuccinos and lattes, according to a news release from the mall.

Hounam moved from Michigan to Charleston more than 17 years ago and has been planning the coffee shop for a couple years.

Amoure Bridal, a formal wear boutique that was formed in the North Charleston and Moncks Corner area, also leased space at Citadel Mall, a news release said. The store will be across from JCPenney and will offer wedding dresses and prom and pageant gowns, as well as accessories, shoes and jewelry.

The Citadel Mall space will be the second location for Amoure, which is owned by Anna Middleton and Sheila Stewart.

“We believe every girl should sparkle and shine,” Middleton said in a statement. “We look forward to making your dream wedding a reality.”

Amoure Bridal will carry Jovani, Enzoni, Lafemme, Alyce, David Tutera, Sophia Tolli, Mia Solano and Blue brands.

Citadel Mall, located at 2070 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., was repossessed by its lien holder in January after it failed to pay back more than $69 million of a $75 million loan.

The 1.1 million-square-foot shopping center features about 75 stores including anchors Belk, Target, Dillard’s, JCPenney and Sears. It is leased and managed by Spinoso Real Estate Group.
