Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech International Corp. recently opened a facility in North Charleston to develop products for defense and homeland security applications.
ManTech will partner with local municipal governments, technology firms, and trade and professional associations. It will also support ManTech’s SPAWAR Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic customers.
The 12,000-square-foot facility at 5965 Core Ave. in North Charleston includes a software lab, open work spaces, conference rooms, demonstration areas and a high bay for vehicle and C4I integration efforts.
In Charleston, ManTech will work on software development, 3-D modeling, database development, tactical vehicle command, control systems analysis, information technology and network design and testing, and electro-optical, seismic, thermal and motion sensor data fusion.
It also will host intern and cooperative programs with local organizations.
“We are very excited about the opening of our new facility,” ManTech’s Mission Solutions and Services Group President and COO Dan Keefe said in a statement. “It will foster an environment of innovation and collaboration, enhancing our ability to provide our clients the best possible solutions.”
ManTech provides technology products to 50 federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, Energy and Justice. ManTech is traded on the Nasdaq under stock symbol MANT.
