Charleston-based AM Conservation Group Inc. recently acquired the energy and water conservation products division of Fort Worth, Texas-based Niagara Conservation Inc.

An unspecified number of Niagara employees will join AM Conservation Group. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

AM Conservation Group is a supplier of water and conservation products, such as LED light bulbs and water-saving showerheads. Niagara Conservation also provides water and conservation supplies. Niagara will continue to operate its toilet business division.

The former competitors aim to serve utility companies and governmental agencies.

“We felt there were many strong synergies to be gained by providing AM Conservation Group with the rights to produce and distribute Niagara branded products,” Niagara Conservation founder and President William Cutler said in a statement.

The new entity will be able to ship products from both companies from the West and East coasts for faster shipping, AM Conservation Group CEO Todd Recknagel said in a statement.

“For over three decades, Niagara has been known as a strong water conservation company, and we are excited to gain access to offering their exceptional water and energy conservation product line, enabling us to market the best products from both companies,” Recknagel said in a statement.
