An East Bay Street restaurant is temporarily closing for renovations during the month of January.

The interior of Magnolias, which opened in 1990, will be remodeled Jan. 2 through the first week of February, according to an announcement from the company. The restaurant will be closed during the remodel.

The restaurant is known for “upscale Southern cuisine” from executive chef Donald Drake. Magnolias is part of Hospitality Management Group Inc., which also owns and operates Blossom and Cypress.
