Women’s clothing boutique THERA M. has opened at 320 W. Coleman Blvd., Unit O, in Mount Pleasant. The store offers a selection of everything from accessories to cocktail dresses, designer jeans to sweaters.

The 2014 Charleston Weddings magazine Spring Bridal Show Emerging Bridal Designer winner is Kendra Barnes. The seventh annual show is part of Baker Motor Co.’s Charleston Fashion Week.

The bridal fashion panel that selected this year’s winner included Colin Cowie, event planner and author; Romona Keveza, bridal and red carpet gown designer; Callie Tein designer-owner of Modern Trousseau; Mark Ingram, owner of Mark Ingram Atelier and Featured Style Icon for the Spring Bridal Show; and Anne Chertoff, wedding expert and digital consultant.

Barnes will have her own runway show featuring 10 to 12 looks at the Spring Bridal Show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 22, in Marion Square.

A resident of Dayton, Ohio, Barnes graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in fine art, fashion design, from Savannah College of Arts and Design. She’s worked as a design intern for designer Michael Kors; as an intern for bridal designer Beth Elis; and as a bridal stylist for Alfred Angelo. Barnes, who aspires to have her own label and boutique, said, “I have been hearing great things about CFW for years, even before I thought about applying. To have the opportunity to be a part of it will be a memory of a lifetime.”
