A 15,000-square-foot, all-trampoline facility will open in Mount Pleasant in 2014, a news release said.

Brad Sullivan, owner and general manager of Sky Zone Charleston, signed an agreement with Sky Zone LLC to open a Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Mount Pleasant, according to a franchise disclosure document. The facility will be located at 411 Wando Park Blvd., formerly Velocity Sports.

Sky Zone Charleston will include an open jump court, ultimate dodgeball courts, a SkySlam basketball court and a foam zone. Sky Zone’s original SkyRobics fitness class will also be offered.

Sky Zone LLC operates three affiliate-owned indoor trampoline parks, and franchises are opening across the United States, Canada and eventually Australia, the release said. Jeff Platt, president of Sky Zone LLC, said the company, which has a U.S. patent for its all-trampoline playing court, was created in 2004.

“Sky Zone continues to entertain, excite and evolve family entertainment while infusing active fun into a healthy lifestyle,” Platt said in a statement. “As we look to expand in Charleston, we are pleased to offer residents a new twist on recreational activities. Our goal is to have fans in every city nationwide jumping for joy.”

The Mount Pleasant location will be South Carolina’s second Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, according to the company’s website. A 45,000-square-foot Sky Zone is located at 2465 Laurens Road in Greenville.
