A Memphis, Tenn.-based event management company with a location in Myrtle Beach is expanding to the Charleston market.
LEO Events, which also has offices in Chattanooga and Nashville, Tenn., is renovating office space at 306 Meeting St., the company said in a news release.
The company has been in South Carolina since 2011 when it opened in the Grand Strand area. Jay McLaurin, vice president in charge of LEO’s South Carolina operations, will be based in the company’s Charleston office expected to open in October.
“After working in the state for several years, we’re pleased to offer services directly to the Charleston area,” said Cindy Brewer, a principal owner.
Brewer said customers have been asking LEO to expand to Charleston. LEO offers corporate meeting, event management and live experience services, including international conventions, award ceremonies and groundbreakings, the company said.
