The Charleston-based law firm of Clawson & Staubes has opened its first office in Columbia.
A graduate of Furman University, Hood received his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 2001.
With 12 years of practice Hood’s areas of practice include insurance defense, including personal injury and construction defects.
Established in 1975, Clawson & Staubes has grown from three attorneys and one office to 38 attorneys at four offices. The firm also has offices in Greenville and Charlotte.
The firm’s practice includes commercial and residential real estate, estate planning and probate, taxation, commercial law and bankruptcy, construction, corporate law, litigation, insurance defense, workers compensation, community associations, franchise law, mediation, and municipal law.
South Carolina Lawyers Weekly ranked Clawson & Staubes the 17th largest firm in the state, as well as No. 1 in greatest growth between 2012 -2013.
