Fla. hospital executive to serve as CEO of Colleton Medical Center

Colleton Medical Center has appointed Brad Griffin, the COO of a Florida health system, to serve as the hospital’s new CEO.

Griffin, who will join the Colleton County hospital May 1, oversees operations for Ocala Health System, a two-hospital organization in Ocala, Fla., with 270 total beds. In Florida, Griffin led several construction and renovation projects for the hospital system, according to a news release.

Colleton and Trident Health are affiliated hospitals under the HCA South Atlantic Division, which is headquartered in Charleston.

Griffin received his master’s degree in health administration and business administration from Georgia State University and his undergraduate degree from Mercer in finance and computer information systems.

“I am honored to become part of the Colleton Medical Center family,” Griffin said in a statement. “There are many opportunities for growth in this dynamic community. I look forward to getting to know the wonderful residents of Colleton County and the Lowcountry.”
