H.A. Sack Co. awarded the $143,500 contract to Hannah Solar, which will build the energy system and mount it on a parking canopy at the fort’s Central Issue Facility. The system will have capacity for about 33.5 kilowatts of energy and provide more than 40,500 kilowatt hours of energy annually for the facility.
Compton Construction will manage the project.
“This investment shows the continuing commitment of the U.S. Army in providing clean renewable energy for Army installations,” said Dave McNeil, CEO of Hannah Solar Government Services.
