New York City-based Well Coiffed Closet is launching its second office in Charleston. Megan Evans started the business in fall 2010 after working as a celebrity publicist in New York and Los Angeles. Elizabeth Gumb will manage the Charleston arm of the business. The Well Coiffed Closet offers closet cleansing, personal look books, personal shopping, wedding and honeymoon styling, trip packing and outfitting for special events.


Belk is opening a special, limited-time location, called Belk@341King, on King Street. The shop will be open throughout the month of March, including during Charleston Fashion Week. The store will offer customers exclusive clothing, jewelry and handbags from a new line by Cynthia Cynthia Rowley. The shop will also have select apparel from winners of the 2012 Southern Designer Showcase competition. 

Belk is a sponsor of the 2013 Charleston Fashion Week, set for March 19-23, and will have a spot in Marion Square during Fashion Week. Belk Night will be March 21 with a fashion show in the Belk tent. The show will feature items from several spring collections, including pieces from the retailer’s exclusive designer collaboration, Cynthia Cynthia Rowley.
