The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is bringing in Jeff Immelt, president and CEO of General Electric, to give the keynote address at its annual Economic Outlook Conference Wednesday.
Immelt has been lauded for his leadership of GE and led the company to earn accolades in Barron’s, Fortune magazine and The Financial Times.
Other panelists for the event include Rebecca Ufkes, owner of UEC Electronics; Rebecca Guthrie, director of operations at BoomTown; Patrick Bryant, founder of GoTo Team; and Bryan Derreberry, president and CEO of the chamber.
The regional forecast will be given by Mary Graham, senior vice president for business advocacy at the chamber.
The conference will include an 18- to 24-month look ahead for the region’s key economic sectors including the housing industry, hospitality industry, airport and port, among others.
