Santee Cooper has promoted three employees to take over the roles of executives who will retire this summer.
The public utility promoted Ben Fleming Jr. to senior vice president of power delivery to replace Terry Blackwell, who is retiring June 30. Fleming will oversee planning and power supply, design engineering and transmission operations.
Santee Cooper promoted Laura Varn to vice president of human resources management. Varn will take over the position in July and is also replacing a soon-to-be retiree, Glen Brown. Varn will oversee safety and health, training and development, employee relations, diversity and the Wampee Conference Center.
Elizabeth Warner was promoted to vice president of legal services and corporate secretary and will start in that position in February. She’ll oversee legal services, land rights acquisition and the office of the corporate secretary.
