A company that outsources call center services is expanding in North Charleston and could add 75 jobs, according to a news release from the Commerce Department.

NCO Financial Systems Inc. said new business led to an expansion of the company’s call center in Charleston County. The company, which is owned by Expert Global Solutions Inc., expects the expansion to be completed in January.

“Every one of these jobs will have impact in North Charleston,” said Commerce Secretary Bobby Hitt in a statement. “Announcements like this one show companies continue to see the Palmetto State as the right place to do business.”

Jay King, co-head of accounts receivables for NCO Financial Systems, said the company received a lot of support from state and local officials.

“It’s exciting to have the opportunity to expand our call center facility in Charleston County,” King said. “South Carolina has provided us with an excellent environment in which to do business, and provided us with exceptional workforce talent.”

The company’s call center at 4275 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston handles accounts receivable services for utilities and telecommunications companies and employs more than 600. NCO also has operations in Greenville and North Augusta.

“When existing businesses in South Carolina choose to expand, it’s a good indication our economic development efforts are on the right track,” Gov. Nikki Haley said in a statement.
