The Fall Design Walk on Upper King begins at 5 tonight. For more than 12 years, the Design District’s spring and fall walks have brought the design community together to the shops and showrooms on Upper King Street.
Haute Design, 489 King St., will host a silent auction benefiting Charleston’s Ronald McDonald House. The store’s "Operation Imagine" project will remodel guest rooms at the Ronald McDonald House into a more inviting place for a family to stay near a hospitalized child. Haute Design will also offer drinks, food and a raffle during the night.
Michael Mitchell Gallery, 483 King St., will host an opening reception for Marissa Vogl, an abstract landscape artist.
Circa Lighting, 426 King St., will host a reopening reception to display its new showroom. Attendees will have a chance to win a pair of designer Sandy Chapman's gourd bedside lamps. Refreshments will be provided.
Siematic, 444 King St., will host bladesmith Quintin Middleton for a demonstration of his cutlery. There will be food, drinks and chances to win a gift basket from BB&T Charleston Wine & Food Festival.
Seeking Indigo, 445 King St., will celebrate its third anniversary with live music, a sampling of wellness services, wine, healthy treats and a chance to win pampering spa day.
