A Charleston company won a $471,000 contract to design and build a solar power system at a NASA facility in Alabama, the company announced Wednesday.
Hannah Solar Government Services will provide 122,000 watts of solar power at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, and the company will use American-manufactured components.
“This solar energy project shows the continued commitment of the U. S. government in providing renewable energy for America,” said Dave McNeil, CEO of Hannah Solar.
The company will expand staff and office space because of the contract. Hannah Solar has projects in South Carolina, Texas, Maine, California, Georgia, New York and North Carolina.
