S.C. AT&T president to speak at education summit

The Education Foundation is holding its annual Business Education Summit this month at Trident Technical College.

The summit will highlight different issues regarding business education and the practicality of that education in today’s business world.

During the event, Pamela Lackey, president of AT&T South Carolina, will speak on how the Lowcountry can increase the labor pool through education.

Other speakers include:

• Deb Campeau, assistant vice president of business development, Trident Health
• Dick Elliott, president and founder, Maverick Southern Kitchens
• Nancy McGinley, superintendent, Charleston County School District
• Jerry Montjoy, superintendent, Dorchester County School District Four
• Joe Pye, superintendent, Dorchester County School District Two
• Rodney Thompson, superintendent, Berkeley County School District
• Clarence Wright, Lowcountry district manager, SCANA

The event will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. Oct. 23 at the Complex for Economic Development on Trident Technical College’s main campus in North Charleston.
