Wells Fargo has launched a new service aimed at helping active-duty military personnel and veterans. The Military Affairs Program will focus on helping them get into homes, find employment and receive financial education training.
“It’s an honor to serve those who have selflessly put their lives on the line for our freedom,” said John Campbell, head of Wells Fargo Community and Government Relations. “We created the Military Affairs Program to expand our outreach to members of the military, veterans and their families who may be facing financial hardships. It is part of our commitment to helping communities succeed by being a part of the solution.”
According to a news release from the company, Wells Fargo is giving veterans mentoring and networking opportunities, offering interview and resume preparation, and hiring veterans through the Heros2Hired Program.
Additionally, the bank plans to increase the financial education training it provides through its Hands on Banking program and through nonprofit organizations.
