Cynthia Rowley, 178 King St., is hosting an event with Art Mag, featuring the online contemporary art website, EXHIBITION A.

The event is 6-9 p.m. Oct. 5. EXHIBITION A is an original model for purchasing and collecting contemporary art. Created by Cynthia Rowley and husband, Half Gallery owner Bill Powers, EXHIBITION A introduces editions of iconic work by prominent contemporary artists, including Richard Prince, Terence Koh, David LaChapelle, Richard Phillips, Rene Ricard, Nate Lowman, Josephine Meckseper, Hanna Liden, Olaf Breuning, Brad Kahlhamer, Steve Powers and Josh Smith.

Each week, the EXHIBITION A site debuts a new edition or “print” by one or more contemporary artists. Prints are offered in archival quality stretched canvas or paper and prices range from $100 to $600. Also, Cos Bar & Laura Mercier will introduce the Cinema Noir collection, which celebrates the makeup trends of the 1940s when black and white movies were popular. Makeup artist Andrew C. Petersen will be offering eye, cheek, and lip touch ups during the event.
