Summerville company to provide engineering services for U.S. Navy

The U.S. Navy has chosen a Summerville company and four other businesses for a contract option worth a total of $33 million, the Department of Defense announced.

Quintech Security Consultants and the other companies will provide engineering services for vulnerability and risk assessments to address terrorist and other criminal threats at the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center in Port Hueneme, Calif.

The Department of Defense expects the work to be finished by September 2013, and the contract option extends the original contract’s value to $115 million.
