Lowcountry business to compete for training contract

A Mount Pleasant company will compete with more than 20 other businesses for delivery orders associated with a Navy contract, the Department of Defense announced Friday.

The contract is worth a total of $780 million, and VarnerMiller will compete with other businesses to provide services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division.

Work includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and sustainment of training services. All orders are expected to be placed by August 2020 and work must be finished by August 2023.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division in Florida issued the contract.

VarnerMiller specializes in custom-designed learning solutions for government and corporate agencies, according to its website.
