The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic chose a Hanahan company as one of seven businesses that will compete for a multimillion-dollar contract to provide electronics and communications services.
UEC Electronics will compete with companies in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Texas and California for task orders associated with the contract, which has a first year base value of $19.8 million and has options that could increase the contract’s value to $98.8 million.
The work will be performed worldwide and will be finished by August 2013 unless SPAWAR exercises options that could extend the work until August 2017.
UEC provides engineering design, product development, rapid prototyping and lean manufacturing services.
