The Coastal Cupboard in Mount Pleasant is hosting the following events:

• Seasonal Sliders is at noon Thursday. In-house chef Stephen Harman will create three types of burgers with condiments — Southwest, Southern and Midwest sliders. Cost is $20.
• Summer Grilling with Lana at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Chef John Ondo of Lana Restaurant will be grilling up some fresh items from local farmers paired with salads. Cost is $60.

Social Restaurant & Wine Bar is a recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2012 Best of Award of Excellence for its wine program. The restaurant has been featured on Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence list in previous years. To qualify for an award, a wine list must meet certain criteria established by Wine Spectator. Lists that meet these requirements are judged for one of three awards. Social Restaurant & Wine Bar is one of 10 South Carolina restaurants to receive the Best of Award of Excellence.
