Conference to explore ways to measure Lowcountry entrepreneurship

The School of Business at the College of Charleston is hosting a conference Aug. 24 to explore ways to measure entrepreneurship in the Lowcountry.

The conference is open to policy and economic development professionals. Attendees will participate in work sessions, with the goal of developing matrices and indices to support growth in the Lowcountry.

David Desplaces, director of the Center of Entrepreneurship at the college, and Tom Lauria, area manager for the S.C. Small Business Development Centers, will facilitate the conference.

The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the School of Business in the Tate Center, 5 Liberty St., Charleston.
